130 How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

According to the theme, we must learn how to raise children to make them to be socialized, because it determines the destiny of society and helps bring about a better society. Generally speaking, people, including the parents and teachers, play a very important role in the development of children. However things do not act just as what we want them to be, the same with the development of children, and yet to say how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society cannot hold the water.
In fact, children learned some basic abilities and disciplines, such as walking, talking, and eating, with the early teaching of their parents. These abilities ensure that they can live independently in their latter lives. And the disciplines, which are also called the rules of being human beings, can be regarded as essential as the lives, because an individual who will not respect the disciplines of lives can never gain other people’s trust. So we can figure out that the early teaching from the parents can never be ignored as the fundamental part of the development of children. Then children go to schools as they reach the time. From there, they can receive the professional knowledge, which will very helpful for their future career. In a nut shell, we can say that parents’ early teaching and schools’ education construct the early development of children. And the socialization of children, mentioned in the above theme, goes on with this process.
But we cannot get the conclusion that it is the only factor in children’s socialization. The environment of society and the personal element cannot be wiped off as other crucial factors in this process. Compared with children living in the underdeveloped countries, children in the rich countries have more opportunities to connect with the beautiful aspects of the society, which are harmonious, positive, and booming, and they are very beneficial for them to build up their personalities to be socialized. On the other hand, children in the poor countries will be less socialized without these benefits. The personal elements, which can be viewed as an independent factor in the development of the children’s socialization, is equal important. Linkon, one of the most famous presidents in America, never accepted former education and lived most of his early life in poverty. He made a great contribution to American history and brought about a better society to Americans. Without the early leading of parents and good education of school, individuals like linkon can also help bring about better society only if they have strong desire to be a socialized and capable person.
On the other hand, children just socialized cannot determine the destiny of society. We may say that the better development of children, the brighter future of society. But the socialization is just one aspect of the capacities for children to build up a better future. There are other things that the development of children cannot deny if they want to bring about a better society. For example, the knowledge of one professional field and the skills to contribute their energy to society. All of these things can be considered as the foundation to bring about better future. And it should plus the good will to make a better world.
In sum, many different factors contribute to the development of the children, not just the guidance of older people. And all of the individuals’ personalities and skills, not just how socialized they are, determine the destiny of society.
