题目：It is often not a good thing to moveto a new city or a new country because of the lost of old friends.


In the majority of ordinary persons’ life,for many reasons such as work, education and so on, moving to a new place isneeded. As we move to a new city, we always get a new life and contact with newones. Then we may lose some old friends who had lived with us. However, in mostcases, move to a new city is a good thing because we can get more friends,acquire more knowledge, and feel a different culture, what’s more, it do notmeans we will lost old friends.

When we stay in only one place, we alwaystalk to a small amount of people. In some cases which are very difficult, evenfriends cannot offer us help. But in a new place, we must adjust the newenvironment. The best way to get it easily is to get new friends. Thus, we canhave many new friends. They can help us when we meet hard situation in theunknown place. If one gets more friends, he can get more help. They may solvethe problem that can hardly be solved formerly. So it is a good thing to moveto a new place.

In a new place, we won’t always meet theold friends. But it is not means that we lost them. Even in the new place, wecan still keep contact with them. In the modern society, we have many differentways to communicate. The distance is shortened by this. Take me as example. Icame to a new city to for the university. This city is thousands of miles frommy hometown. But I often talk to my parents. They don’t feel I am far from themat all. In addition, through a separate time, we can get a closer relationshipwith old friend. Especially close friend.

In a new place, we can feel a differentculture, then we can expand our sight, feel a fresh thing. It have a great usefor our personal development. It is a good thing to go to a new city.

In the lecture, the professor made several points about preventing the Torreya taxifoha’s population. The reading offered three possible solutions of it. However, the professor argues that none of them are sacrificed enough to keep the tree. The professor’s lecture casts doubt on the reading by using a number of contradicted points.

The first point that the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is about the reestablish the tree at the same time. According to the reading, the microclimate of the place is the best place to keep the tree and raise the population. But according to the professor, the global warming made the region warmer and drier, it is not fit the trees to survive. This is the first contradictory present in this set of materials.

Second, the reading claims that we can move the tree far away. However the professor gave an example to reject it. There is another tree that moved to the new place, and it spread so fast that threatened other local species. So to move the tree to a new region will give an unpredictable effect on the new region. This is the second point where the listening refutes the reading.

Finally, the reading stated that it can be kept in the research centre. The professor claimed that the research center are not big enough to contain a large amount of the tree, so it won’t get a good effect in a long term. This is the third point that the listening passage directly contradicts the reading.

In conclusion, the points made in the lecture totally contrast with the reading.

Teacher is a respectable job. There arealso many different teachers who have different teaching styles. Some teachersare serious and strict, others are humor and easygoing. For study, I prefer ateacher who is serious and strict. They can be more efficient. A strict teachercan give a high level in student requirement, give a good example of study, andgive a impression that he is responsible.

I think study is a serious thing, either toacquire knowledge or develop new methods to solve the problem. A seriousteacher, in most cases, gives a strict requirement to the students. If give aforce to the students to du harder at work. Then at a same time, a studentunder a serious teacher must take more effort on the studying. After a hardwork, a student can get a higher level, it will be much helpful to them.Furthermore, the students will give them a higher requirement in other things.Then they can do a work in a better quality.

A teacher in teaching is not only giveknowledge to the students but also set up a good example to the students. Astrict and serious teacher is just a good example to the students. A person’s childhood is the most vital time period of one’s life. When a person is a child, he would meet options which he had to make a decision. Many parents have a strong will from their love to the children to help determine children’s future. They think their choice is wise and stable. However, in a deeper consideration, a right of the selection is pretty essential for the kids to make the decision that can motivate them in a maximum degree, practice them to make selections and offer more exercise to them.

One thing that illustrates the point is the motivation. Parents who make decisions are rarely considered the children’s opinion of the solution. So many children who follow the way that paved by others always have an obvious feeling that they are forced to do something that they don’t know if they want to do. So they have an instinct to refute the option. On the contrary, the children who make the selection by themselves that choice by themselves show that they have interesting in that direction. So they have the motivations to do this. It can help them maintain the decision and go a longer way.

Another thing that is important to say is to develop the children’s ability to make choice. In a vast majority of ordinary citizens’ whole life, they have to face countless amount of selections of which they must choose by themselves. So to practice how to make decision is necessary to everyone. If a children’s selection are all made my their parents, they would get fewer chance to know how to make decisions, in addition they may acquire a bad habits that is depend on their parents. It is a terrible consequent that can lead to a big failure to them.

Someone have their viewpoint that the decision make by the children are always not wise and the children may do much more work, and if their failed, they have a great possible to lose their confidence. In fact, mare work means more practice. As they pass through the difficult in achieving the goal that set up by them, they can learn a lot and gained more. After this progress, they can be promoted in a level that is hardly achieved in the situation that the choice made by the parents.

Even it is good to encourage the children to make their own decision. But it is not mean their parents needn’t to care of them. What the parents should do is to give instructions about the children’s selection and monitor them to keep on doing. If so, it will give a great help to the children. In conclusion, parents should allow the children to make their own choices.

The article stated the bad effect of that fire. However, the professor offer the good aspect of that fire. The professor’s lecture cast doubt on the reading by using a number of contradicted points.

The first point that the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is about the damage of the trees. According to the reading passage, the fire destroyed the trees in a great degree. But from the professor, the elimination of the trees makes the chance to let the smaller plants to grow, especially some plants that need no shade.

Second, the article stated that the animals living in the park also threatened by the fire. However, the professor claimed that the smaller plants gave the opportunity of the animals who eat them to live. And it also attracts their predators. It helps the place species devise. This is another point the professor refute the reading.

Third, the reading claims that the fire damaged the value of the park as a tourist attraction. On the contrary the professor stated that if the fire happens once a year, it is sure to disrupt the economy. But the fire is caused by the big light. And the fire did not happy again after that. And the spices devise attracts more tourists.
