Will we doubt the internet, which has stepped into our sight no more than twenty years, has brought indelible influence to the whole world? I can’t agree more upon the statement of the speaker, regardless the inevitable byproducts of the great evolution. Internet has changed almost all aspects of our life, and significantly improved our quality of life.
There are numerous spots where internet has changed and improved the way we live. Basically, all the changes could be the consequence of highly improved efficiency of information exchange. For instance, one of our mostly used services, email, has incredibly accelerated the speed we exchange messages or even attainments between individuals. Personally, Email service has helped me a lot in contacting with professors across the world freely.

But internet could tackle far more than just emails apparently. The www service, which is the abbreviation of world wide website, has supplied all the organizations, individuals a flexible platform to exhibit themselves. It is really unbelievable that we can share and browser anything in the world in seconds. Information has never been transported in such an efficient way ever before. People in New Zealand could hear of the event, which is taking place in another distant country, such as China. That is what happened to my friend exactly.

With the great improvement of information exchange, all aspects of our society speed up as well. The economics has been boosted remarkably. Business, education, etc, have all take the advantage of the internet service. Companies load their products and services online to attract the consumers across the world. The other side, individuals are browsing the products produced by factories in the world as well.  
Yet the global internet inspires all the organizations and individuals to get involved in the world market, which is fraught with competition and cooperation. Resources and labors could be distributed and redistributed between territory and region freely. All these mechanisms aim at making the most productivity at the limited resources, hence the efficiency has been greatly improved under this operation.

What’s even exciting is that more and more new advanced internet technologies have emerged into sight recently. New innovations, concepts and protocols have brought this realm into a higher level. And we are going to benefit more and more from it. For instance, the cloud computing, as it sound, will provide the service that could respond to the request which need a huge amount of calculation by uniting all the available computers or devices, just like in the cloud.

Unfortunately but true, internet has its drawbacks as well. Firstly, the regional culture may be broken up along with the breaking up of the boundary. Under the impact of globalization, western culture, specifically, has deluged every corner of the world. And the local, unique, and distinctive cultures are confronted with threaten of decomposition.
Meanwhile, people are spending more and more time on this “virtual” world, but not with their families or friends. Hence, the internet would incubate the alienation between individuals, to some extent.

With respect to the essence of internet, which is a tool for exchange of information, internet is an unexceptional excellent invention for human. It could be applied to lighten our life, as well shadow it. The point is we are going to make it serve for our society, with its immeasurable potentials.
