我是按照今天的生活和历史差不多的思路来写的，但是又觉得the main benefit三个词有些奇怪，所以想请教一下这道题到底是关于“history and today”还是“the benefit of studing history”？

issue并不看重我们要从哪个角度入手。其实你说的两种说法都可以。
可以先解读你所理解statement的意思，然后再说出你的观点-同意还是不同意。
我发现issue的题其实都很像生活中的信息的接收，理解，思考分析后将它归入自己的信息库中抑或是改良后消化，也可以完全否认。

ETS始终看的都是你的思考问题的过程。其他角度什么的，没有多大关系的其实。
