PhD research assistant positions are available inUltrasound-optical Imaging Laboratory at Bioengineering Department of Universityof Texas at Arlington (UTA). The project will focus on the development of novelcancer imaging techniques (such as ultrasound, optical and ultrasound-combinedoptical imaging techniques). The goal of our research is to achieve highresolution in deep tissue. We are looking for individuals who areself-motivated and specialized in any of the following fields: (1)bioinstrumentation (especially in ultrasound and optical fluorescencetechniques), (2) optical and ultrasound imaging contrast agents development(such as nano-/micro- particles, microbubbles, DNA design and manipulation,biochemical labeling, molecular targeting…), and (3) Numerical simulation ofphoton migration in tissue (such as Monte Carlo simulation, other numericalsimulation, Matlab and C programming skills…).


A master or bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering (orBioengineering), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, AppliedPhysics, or Biochemistry is required.
