Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.



Currently, the issue of teachers and educations are much concerned to a point where a wide discussion has been aroused. And the status of the education of parents appeals increasing attentions. Some people hold the opinion that parents take the most significant role in educating their children. However, when it comes to me, I stand against the claim and reckon that it is unfair to any other factors.

Admittedly, parents, who are responsible and patient, to certain extent, are pretty vital to children's growing up. As we all know, the first two persons we meet when we are given birth to this world where we have to conquer large quantities of difficulties are our parents; the people who we are the most familiar with and are the most reliable in this world are our parents; the man and woman who teach us how to walk and speak are our dear parents. They have huge influence on us. However, there finally is a phase on which we have to leave our parents and start our own lives. Moreover, as a modern child, s/he has to feed herself/himself independently earlier and earlier. For example, many years ago, Chinese children tend to stay with parents until approximately 25 years old when they get married, while it tends to be 18 now. And you know that times change so rapidly that our parents' experience may not suit us.

Secondly, the society, where are fulfilled with competitions and cruelties, is more important factor influencing the development of children. It cannot be denied that children will adapt the speed of life and gain the abilities of surviving automatically in the way of living by themselves, or being eliminated. The example of eagle matches my point of view perfectly. The eagle trains her kids in the way of pushing her kids down from the cliff once and once again. If the baby eagles want to survive, they have to spread wings to embrace the sky. Or the only result waiting for them is death. So children just like the baby eagles and the mother eagle resembles the society, which is a ruthless and strict teacher and leader.

Moreover, teachers which provide children the implement of existence, knowledge in schools also play an extremely key role. Children receive specific training, skills and knowledge in school which are the fundament of achieving jobs, through which they earn money to afford the living expenditure. Not only school teachers do teach knowledge which sharp learner's mind, they but also impart their own living experiences and comprehension which may enlighten students and initiate their interests on some fields. Just taking my middle school teacher, Mr. Chen, as an instance, he is responsible for our biology teaching. The knowledge that he taught me is becoming the foundation of my future career that is to be a doctor, and at the meantime the understanding of life, his philosophy of life, such as what happiness is, upgrades my spirit. Without Mr. Chen, I may have no courage to be a doctor, chase my dream and never give up.

In sum, parents take an essential part of children education, while it is not the most important. The education of society and school teachers is also necessities of becoming eligible citizens.
