welcome~~I think about a third of the class go to the financial industry, a third of the class go to the economics-related organizations, and the remining decide to pursue further study. Warwick is a target school in the UK, good brand name to land a job in the UK, but one-year is a bit tough. Speaking of research, micro theory, economic history, industrial organization are pretty strong fields. In the second half of the year, you are allowed to take economic theory, monetary economics, and empirical micro, all are PHD level courses. Personally I really like empirical micro, covering mostly labor and IO. Fabian is a really smart guy with a JPE shortly after graduation. Greg Crawford is very nice and good at teaching. Economic theory is led by he Herakles, the hardest elective module indeed.
