0817作文:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: People should know about events happening around world even if they have little influenceon their daily lives.
Everyday there are several events concerning politics, sports or society, some are about the people we have never known in reality, some even take place in countries we have never heard about . Then there comes the question: do we need to pay attention to the events happening around world, even if they have little influence on our daily life? My answer is yes, since the seemingly irrelative events may remind us of our responsibilities , evoke our sympathy, and convey a lot of sprits.
Some events can fairly remind us about our responsibilities, even they seem far from us. Recently a survey indicates that the black hole in South Pole is growing in an extremely high speed. A news I saw yesterday was concerning the experts who would go to the South Pole to do some observation and try to find out some methods to reimburse it. It sounds far away from our daily life, yet it do relate to us. Earth is our mother, we need to do ever effort to protect her. Not only experts need to take action, but we need too. Notice that CO2 emission is the main reason for the Black Hole, what we suppose to do is clear: reduce the times we take the car, and make good use of public transportation.
Some events, although happen in another country with some people we have never known, can still bring an influence to our life. I still remember the earthquake erupted in Japan last year, it is such a tragic disaster that hundreds of people lost their parents, children, husband or wife, and innate friends in it. When reading the news, we felt sorry about their loss, we donated our clothes, food or money for them, the sympathy buried in our hearts surfaced. Since we knew the feeling of losing, we could understand them and provide them our sincere sympathy. This event evoked one of the most great feelings in our mind, a kind of feeling we once thought we had already lost.
In addition to the environment problems and disasters, some events about normal people can also present us some precious sprits. Last week, I read that a disabled girl Susan – who mastered 7 different languages and passed the standard test of piano - had graduated from Harvard University. Despite the misfortune happened in her life, she never stopped chasing her dream. And her effort finally paid off. This news enlightened me, encouraged me never give up in the face of difficulties. I never knew Susan in reality, and maybe never will, however, I felt like she was just stand by me, and could give me enormous confidence.
Admittedly, paying attention to the events happened around us is essential. Nevertheless, it is equal crucial that we notice the events seemed have little influence on us, for the simple reason that we can ruminate through them, moved by them, and learn from them.
