小米回复的邮件的问题

一直趴在寄托上看帖，今天终于按捺不住，以新人身份发帖。
请教一个申请中收到小米回复的邮件的问题。

申请NTE EEE 的 CS Meng
3月8号在上海参加的TPT考试，两周后发邮件给小米，收到如下回复：
Thank you for your interest in our research programmes. As you are applying for Master of Engineering (MEng) degree, we are seeking funding for your study from our industrial sponsors as there is no university scholarship for MEng candidates. Your application is still being considered by our sponsors.

You can also have the following two alternatives:
1.       Pursue your study for MEng with your own financial support.
2.       If you can commit 4 years of study for PhD degree, we can consider you for possible research scholarship.

心想这下有望了，哈哈。于是给小米回复，先找sponsorship吧，不行再看看有没有剩下的scholarship分我一个吧。

但是过了约1个多月都没有消息。。。又问小米，得到如下回复:

We understand from your email earlier that you would like to be considered for MEng with industrial sponsorship, or PhD with scholarship. We are, so far, not able to find you any sponsor or scholarship.

心之拔凉啊！
这是不是意味着：
1.以现有的名额，我并没有拿到赞助或奖，已成备胎？
2.如果备胎没当成，就会被拒，即使现在愿意自己支付学费了？

还想问，拿企业的sponsorship容易吗？如果继续这么僵持下去有希望吗？

1. yes, they currently can not provide you sponsorship or scholarship.
PS: There is very little companies in Singapore willing to sponsor Meng students, I only know some companies have sponsorship for PhD.
2. If you are willing to finance yourself to pursue Meng, they may still give you offer, just email them and check with them agian.
PS: I personally do not suggest you to pursue Meng if there is no scholarship or sponsorship, insead, you can consider to take Master by Coursework.

非常感谢，我下一步也打算告诉NTU我愿意fund myself了。
但是有一个疑问：
Why is master by course better than master by engineering? I personally think Meng can develope individuals' research ability, which is the advantage Msc does not have.
请问你怎么看？

If you want to find a job rather than further PhD after Meng, you can compare like this:

Meng = MSc + 1 year's research experience at school + 0 year's work experience.
MSc   = MSc +  0 year's research experience at school + 1 year's work&research experience.

好形象的对比 另外MSC上的课比Meng多 前者好像是十门课 后者是四门

那一年内完成Msc的难度大吗？细想来如果一年完成Msc，那学费是给一年的还是按上了的课给足两年？

难道要看你自己水平吧 基本上问题应该不大 学费是按年还是学期交的 如果一年上万只用交一年学费  phd如果四年不能毕业也要自己交学费的
