As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

Associated with the incredible advancement of the cutting-edge technology and its gradual application and popularization into our normal life, it is the manners, behaviors and the way we think and live that have changed enormously yet inevitably. The great convenience and easy-to-use force us to surrender our lives to it step by step and consequently we can’t live without it. The upcoming serious worry is that will our ability of independent thinking become weaken, which, actually, has capturing the widely considering and discussion.
Apparently, it is indisputable that the sophisticated technology and our unbelievable reliability on it have made us give up something, which we have been used to for such a long time. After the creation of calculator, we gradually pick it up every time we have to comput something which even though is an extremely easy equation but we don’t want to run our brain and think about it. With the social network permeating every corner in our life, we prefer to look down upon our phone to refresh the new feeds people posted on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter tirelessly no matter when we are holding a party, having a conversation or something.
However, does that mean that we are getting rid of our independent mind? Definitely not! Even though we have thrown out something we owned before, it is absolutely not appropriate to say that thinking for ourselves is one of the remarkable changes.
On one hand, it is in fact the alleged passive-thinking technology that promotes our brainstorming with sorts of fresh ideas and information. Maybe we are using computer to deal with daily staff and searching on the Internet for massive amounts of information, which is easy to be considered as the behavior of lacking of self-thinking mind and just copying from others. On the contrary, the advantages technology provides for us are indeed at the right time and easy to fit our needs to handle. When I was rushing my feet on the academic dissertations, for example, the computer and Internet did offer me a great favor of figuring out tough problems with plenty of basic knowledge provided. The old Chinese proverb says that Sharp tools make good work. On the other hand, the process of propelling the development of the state-of-the-art technology is the way we people think independently to explore the unknown. Every innovation especially the one that brought us the world-wide revolution was filled with the outstanding intelligence and required definitely our independent ability to break out the traditional limitations. Apple is the best example for the sake of its creativity and epoch-making meanings.
In a word, from the direction of the marvelous technology itself, it is just the product of our independent thinking and subsequently is just the tool we apply to make our lives better. It, under no circumstance, can devastate our basic yet most valuable thinking ability in return. No survival and development of technology will exist without this kind of ability.
