阅读36套EX13的一个问题

这段话实在没明白啊，它说walruses and seals用后flipper sea lions用前flipper
那最后一句怎么说的意思是 如果用convergent-evolution theory，我们应该期望walruses and seals是相同的。。
问题是walruses and seals两个确实是相同的啊，怎么能反驳convergent-evolution theory呢？

不是题目，就是EX13的第一篇文章，最后一段话百思不得其解，但是没出题

纠结许久之后来回答楼主的问题。

我的想法是永远不要把一句话抠出来看。

本文一开始的观点是sea lions和walruses是源于同一个祖先，而seals不是，也就是说，sea lions和walruses是类似的，而seal是独立不同的。

convergent evolution的解释是互不相关的动物在环境的压力下会出现相同的特征。这种解释是基于发现上述三种动物的flipper有同样的骨骼特征。

所以convergent evolution的认为这三者都是相同的，所以walruses和sea lions有同一种祖先，并且与seals有区别是错的。

然后作者用了这个理论做假设进行了反驳，他说sea lions和walruses都是用后flipper，而seal用的是前flipper，但根据convergent evolution的解释，这三种动物都在同样的水环境下，是用前flipper还是后flipper应该是一致的：要么都是前，要么都是后。对convergent evolution的反驳只要说明seals和其他两个不一样就可以了。这句话并没有矛盾。

以上拙见，希望能够抛砖引玉。

谢谢层主解析！！刚又看了文章好像明白了些。。但是和层主理解有点出入。

文章先说sea lions and walruses是一组，seals是另一组，得出这个结论是根据convergent evolution
But the recent discovery of detailed similarities in the skeletal structure of the flippers in all three groups undermines the attempt to explain away superficial resemblance as due to convergent evolution
但是从骨架结构的details上看，他们三个是相同的，所以这个结论削弱了根据convergent evolution所解释的 superficial resemblance。（这句话应该就是在反对convergent evolution，不是基于相同的特征得到的这个theory吧？）

后文又说：If anatomical similarity in the flippers resulted from similar environmental pressures，
anatomical：结构上的，解剖的。

所以这句是说如果结构上的相似是convergent evolution（walruses and seals用后，sea lions用前）导致的结果的话，应该walruses and seals相同，但是和sea lions不同，但如同前面所说它们三个骨结构是相同的。所以依旧是说convergent evolution不对。

有错误还请指出~~不过理解这话还真是必须看全文！
