我有这样几个问题：
1.such thing as something 我是这样理解的“这样的不同，就像已经在神经细胞中证实的那样”，可是翻译不是这样解释的:L
2.然后翻译中逗号后的的“解释”“与神经细胞”这两个词的翻译我没太弄懂，我没在原文中找到相应的词汇。
3.是不是这个句子除了有复杂的修饰以外，还有省略或者是其他用法。

备考中的工作狗一枚，浅见如下：
1、括号里面都略看，中间插得太多，看到and后面肯定都是variations。had been demonstrated in nerve cells是来限制variations的。其实就是such variations remained negligible (for any possible correlation with xxx). in significance也是来干扰下的。
2、神经细胞在had been 后面的nerve cells。 解释是correlation with。
3、不太了解。感觉没省略。
