Reference Details
Provide the names and contact Information for three referees who have agreed to submit a reference for you. Please note: Your referees will receive a notification email and access to the online reference system only AFTER you submit your application.
If you are eager to have your referees submit their references as soon as possible, you may submit your application with all required fields completed (which will trigger the notifications to your referees) and upload other required application documents after your initial submission. After submission, you are only permitted to upload missing documents, you cannot change your responses to any other application fields.
Whenever possible, be sure to use an address associated with the referee’s institution or employer, and not one associated with a free email provider (such as gmail, hotmail, etc.) as the online reference system cannot be accessed through these addresses. Referees with non-institutional email addresses will instead be sent a link to a printable reference form, which they will need to complete, print, sign and send via post to the contact address provided. Please bear in mind that this will delay UBC’s receipt of the reference, which must be received by the deadline.
