MS/Ph.D. positions in remote sensing, GIS, and environmental modeling are available, beginning  Fall 2016, with Dr. Kaiguang Zhao in the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR). Dr. Zhao’s lab focuses on mapping, monitoring, modeling, and managing terrestrial environments across scales, using a combined toolset such as remote sensing, GIS analyses, and biophysical modeling. Self-motivated individuals are sought, especially those with good quantitative and computational skills who would like to apply such skills to address environmental issues related to natural ecosystems or built environments. Qualified backgrounds include geography, ecology, forestry, environmental sciences, meteorology, hydrology, or related fields. Degrees in statistics and physics are also acceptable, if with demonstrated good understandings of biophysical ecology and environmental sciences. Skills and experiences in programming (e.g., Fortran, & Matlab) and remote sensing are highly desirable. Financial support will be a combination of research and teaching assistantships. 俄亥俄州立大学综合排名还不错，不过遥感专业这几年有点衰落趋势，比BU好像差些，比我们马大也查不少。不过这种排名make sense是否也很难说，下面是一个这方面的报告
