The Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) at Rutgers University is currently seeking to hire PhD students to work at the following two areas: 1) piezo/acoustic/ ultrasonic sensing for structure damage detection, Bayesian modeling, machine learning and AI applications;
2) tire-based sensing, vehicle/tire dynamics and control, and tire-ground interaction (friction, rolling resistance, noise, etc.).
This position will be funded with graduate assistantship with tuition waiver through sponsored projects.
The PhD student can be enrolled in either Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program or Civil Engineering program at School of Engineering. The expected start date is fall semester 2021 and the review of application begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
