Guan Group at The Pennsylvania State University is recruiting Ph.D. candidates in EE and BME (Fall 2018）
Guan Group in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University invites the most motivated and talented Ph.D. candidates to join us in finding innovative healthcare solutions. Our group is affiliated with the Electrical EngineeringDepartment and the Biomedical Engineering Department at PennState. The multidisciplinary research group is focused on micro and nanoscale “lab-on-a-chip (LoC)” devices and systems. We develop and deploy advanced and innovative methods, devices and systems to enable the development of next-generation of devices and tools for medical diagnosis and life science research.


We are looking for exceptional Ph.D. candidates with:

1. Passion for innovation and excellence;
2. Excellent training in Engineering/Physics (to develop new technologies), or in
Medicine/Biology/Chemistry (to develop new medical applications);
3. Strong publication record in bioMEMS/bioNEMS/Microfluidics/Analytical
Chemistry/Lab-on-Chip areas is highly preferred.
4. Ability and willingness to collaborate and work in a team.
