为什么国外的学校这么多考试, 读PHD, 差不多每门课都有期中考和期末考, 还有作业呢..... :rolleyes:
然后还要过qualifying exams,这个资格考又分两个考试: core exam & focus exam, :mad:
每门课还要保持3.0以上, 好痛苦哦~~~ :o

每门课要保持3.0以上 , that is easy
in US get all A is not easy , but get all B is even harder !!!!!!

常函数和指数函数e的x次方走在街上，远远看到微分算子，
常函数吓得慌忙躲藏，说：“被它微分一下，我就什么都没有啦！”
指数函数不慌不忙道：“它可不能把我怎么样，我是e的x次方！”
指数函数与微分算子相遇。

by the way, why iamfine wonders the exams in college? did not he/she take exams when he/she was a undergraduate and graduate student?

不是说国外的不是应试教育吗,
怎么比中国还要看重分数和考试呢~~~~~~~~~~ :rolleyes:

我也不喜欢考试。

都一把年龄了，还要受考试这个苦活。

at least, there should be one method to evaluate your skill.
from so many years experiment, test/examination is the best one.
exam to studying is like rule to game, you must admit exam if you want to study, just like you must accept rule if you want to play the game.
