Description of the Job:
The Respiratory Aerosol Research and Educational (RARE) Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is looking for a Post-Doctoral Scholar in the area of nasal drug delivery. The experimental research project is sponsored by the US FDA and aims to clarify the regional deposition pattern of nasal sprays. The initial appointment is full-time for one year and the renewal is subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in engineering or a closely related field, and have expertise in the area of aerosol science. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced collaborative environment are required. The candidate will work closely with other groups in VCU College of Engineering and Aerosol Research Group in VCU Department of Pharmaceutics, which is internationally recognized for organizing Respiratory Drug Delivery Conference serie

Preferred Qualifications:        
Experience in spray characterization, image processing, high performance liquid chromatography, and knowledge of basic coding in MATLAB or similar software are highly desired.
