一、课题组简介:
郭骏杰博士(https://scholars.cityu.edu.hk/en/persons/chun-kit-kwok(6ce9c7ef-3df6-4fe1-bc95-d749d1d6d748).html),香港城市大学化学系教授,博士生导师,香港青年科学院(YASHK)院士,近年来荣获中国国家自然科学基金面上项目、中国国家自然科学基金优秀青年科学基金项目(港澳)、英国皇家学会国际交流奖学金、裘槎创新奖(500万港币)、研资局研究学者计划(528万港币),香港高等研究所化学新星、RNA Society Early-Career Research Award、香港城市大学校长奖、香港城市大学杰出研究奖、2021、 2023、2024年斯坦福大学评选出的全球前2%高被引科学家等,在Nature, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, Nature Protocols, Cell Genomics, Cell Reports, Genome Biology, Nucleic Acid Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Chemical Science等国际著名期刊上发表论文70多篇。多次受邀为 Trends in Biochemical Sciences, Trends in Biotechnology, Nature Plants, Nature Chemical Biology, Nucleic Acid Research, Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Biology等杂志撰写综述 (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=chun+kit+kwok&sort=date)。自课题组成立以来,已与剑桥大学、牛津大学、哈佛大学、旧金山加利福尼亚大学、 清华大学、新加坡国立大学、香港大学、香港中文大学,中山大学等多个实验室开展了项目合作。请登录课题组网站了解更多信息(http://kitkwok.com 和 https://youtu.be/7D5u_E_I0tU)。

Postdoc recruitment in Prof. Chun Kit Kwok’s lab at the City University of Hong Kong (Chemistry and Biology background)
Introduction of Team:
Dr. Chun Kit Kwok (https://scholars.cityu.edu.hk/en/persons/chun-kit-kwok(6ce9c7ef-3df6-4fe1-bc95-d749d1d6d748).html) is a professor of Department of Chemistry in City University of Hong Kong. He is a fellow of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Science (YASHK) and has received many prestigious awards and honors, including the NSFC General Program Grant, NSFC’s Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau), the Royal Society International Exchange Fellowship, the Croucher Innovation Award (5 million HKD), the RGC Research Fellow Scheme (5.28 million HKD), the Hong Kong Institute for Advanced Study Rising Star in Chemistry, the RNA Society Early-Career Research Award, the CityU President Award, and the CityU Outstanding Research Award. He has been recognized as the top 2% of the World's Most Highly Cited Scientists by Stanford University in 2021, 2023 and 2024. Dr Kwok has published over 70 research papers in prestigious journals including Nature, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, Nature Protocols, Cell Genomics, Cell Reports, Genome Biology, Nucleic Acid Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Chemical Science, and others. The current research is focus on “explore the role of RNA structures and interactions in biology”, “develop targeting tools for detection, imaging, intervention of important RNA structures and interactions”, as well as “invent innovative nucleic acid-based technologies for sensing chemical pollutants and biological toxins”. With adequate funds, great team spirit and scholarly culture, we invite talents to join.

Requirements
1) Candidates with excellent molecular biology and chemical biology skills with experience in RNA structure and biology will be preferred for the biologist postdoc post.
2) Candidates with excellent analytical chemistry and molecular science skills with experience in nucleic acid aptamer and biosensing will be preferred for the chemist postdoc post.
3) Qualified candidates should have accomplished their Ph.D. degree in related areas, strong publication track records.
4) Good skills with English literature reading, listening, writing and presentation.
Salary
Salary will be negotiable depending on research experience, publications, qualifications and laboratory-related mindsets and skillsets.
