When it comes to whether games are as important for adults as they are for children, although some people hold the opinion that only children have the rights to play games, they fail to see that adults do need games in some aspects. I am, and probably always be, one of those who argue that games are as important for adults as they are for children.
The reasons are quite clear. Above all, the most outstanding benefit that adults can benefit from games is that games can relax the grown-ups from stress. To get a full understanding of what this means we must first turn to some sorts of games that created not just to kill time, but enable people to get fun from. For example, gulf, which is the game that grace the adults’ dull life—from working to sleeping everyday.
A more persuasive point is that adults can establish group working spirit from certain games, like football or basketball, which are in the adults’ favorite games list. More detailed studies show that seldom can a player win unless he plays not just for himself but for the team he is in. In other words, adults can use the co-working spirit which learn from games to their daily work in their business to achieve more success.
Finally, to speak frankly, there is a more practical reason why I approve that games also play a significant role in the life of the grown-up. As we all know, only games allow one to start again without nothing really hurts after you totally lose. However, definitely, it is not easy for an adult to go back to the beginning after he loses in the working field. Technologically speaking, adults can gain pains from games so that they will not hurt much in the fail in their real lives.
With all the factors discussed above, one could deduce that games do grace an adult life not less than they do in children’s world.

It is widely accepted that the game might bring some advantages to children. But whether the game is also valuable to the adults is controversial issue. Personally, I believe the game is important to adults, as well as to children.

Children may acquire new knowledge through playing game. How can we say that adult can not obtain new knowledge from that? It is endless to learning. firstly, the knowledge that children obtained from the game may be also new to adults. Secondly, memory is unreliable. So we can consolidate the knowledge which we have acquired. Thirdly, we may have keen insights and observation by playing the game which plays a great role in our job. Because the game is always designed sophisticatedly, if you want win the game, you must try your best.


What is more, with the development of economy, the living standards are dramatically improved. It simultaneously brought adults sharp competition.   Obviously, adults have heavier pressures than children. Game is a good way to reduce the pressure or even help to forget them without fail. Moreover, if we cooperate with our families, friends and workmates in playing the game, it might enhance the intimacy. In this sense, it will create double benefits.  

Admittedly, if we spent much time on game, it also brings us some disadvantages, such as, weak sight and the waste of our time. But if we put the game in a position of entertainment, it is conductive to the resolution of problems.

In conclusion, game is as equal important to adults as to children. Of course we should be reasonable so as to not affect our major tasks

你整个的第二段花了很大的工夫却没有任何意义。注意一下，题目，问的是as important for adults as they are for children。你这一段都是在谈GAME 对children如何重要，可是这不是我们要讨论的。题目已经肯定了这一点，不用你再说了，可是你却花了大量篇幅重点说了这个不需要说的一点。我们该说的是，游戏对于成人来说是不是像对孩子一样的重要，对不对？而对于真正该说的，对于成人的好处你只用了一段，而且还没上一段多，说了两点，草草举了两个例子了事，是不是欠妥了呢？

你的问题和#11楼的一样（当然，其他好多人都是的），我写在#21楼，把这些话放到学生身上是不是也适用？学生也需要减压，学习处世的道理等。你所说的都是游戏本身的好处，而不是它对于成人的好处。对不对？

It's been often discussed the importance of games to adults. In my prospective, reasonably playing games give adults indispensable help while abandoning in games do great harm to both adults and children.

First of all, games are practically necessary to adults, especially in modern world. Nowadays adults should deal with too many issues, for instance, the heat competition, the sensitive social relationship, the quickly changing environment, and so on. It's hard to imagine in such a kind of stressful world, how can people survive without ways of rest. And as one of the most effective and interesting ways to relieve stress, games certainly play a very important role in adults' life.

Furthermore, playing games together with others contribute greatly to the construction of good social relationship. By playing games together, people can more easily get rid of embarrassment with strangers and soon become good friends. In fact, games sometimes can also reflect the players' nature and preference. That may be the reason why more and more companies like to hold games among their stuff.

However, it must be noticed that relying too much on games is absolutely harmful to people, no matter adults nor children. Especially computer and Internet games, which often create an illusion of another kind of world to the players, keep them away from the reality and cost all their time. What's worse, as I often read in newspaper, some indulgent players even killed others to imitate the roles in games. These pieces of surprising news have already stricken alarms to us.

Generally, games can help people but also can destroy them, depending on whether they constrict themselves with self-conscience and come back to the reality soon after games. But after all, games are of great importance to modern life which can not be ignored.

Nowadays, there is no denying the fact that games are less automatically associated with children. Actually, games consisting physical games, mental games and so on define much wider than children’s games and they are undoubtedly as important for adults as for children.

First of all, game is a very good way for modern adults who often feel tired and full of stress to have a rest. On the one hand, consider physical games for an example. When adults are playing a basketball game, they not only improve physical health but also release of their working stresses. After an interesting game, a shower and a sleep, it will be a new person who is full of energy and passion in the work tomorrow. On the other hand, you can also play chess with your old friends or family members and use this quiet game to rest yourself.

Sometimes, games can also enlighten adults in their work and even bring them success. For example, in 1995 the first computer animation, Toy story, was released and won large amount of praises. What attracted people see this film is not only the technology in computer graphics but the moving story about toys. Just because John Lasseter, the director of this film love games and toys, he could make a so successful animation. Furthermore, some adults even become professional game players. They earn money by playing games and have fun.

Admittedly, if an adult does not view playing games as a job, it is harmful to spend too much time on them. As a saying goes “it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live”. Games are just like dreams. Some adults who play computer games called “role-play” on Internet day and night are lost in these artificial dreams, which may ruin their lives.

To sum up, for adults, games carry many advantages such as letting off of steam, increasing physical health and even bringing success. Thus we can say that if adults are not addicted in them, games may be very useful and significant.

你的意思是说只需要说游戏对成年人的重要性就可以了？
我的理解有所偏差哦，不是说as important as.....吗，我一直以为as...as就是平等性的，没有侧重之分。
