ISSUE17 - "There are two types of laws: just andunjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just lawsand, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

The author concludes that there are two types of laws in theworld: just and unjust and every individual should obey just laws and disobeyand resist unjust laws. However, I strongly hold that though some laws mightseem just and vice verse, it is extremely difficult to distinguish just lawsfrom unjust ones. Consequently, every individual should obey laws, regardlessof its justness.

There is no absolute answer as to whether laws are just arenot. It is entirely possible that a law considered just in some people's eyesmight be thought unjust by some others. For this, we need look no further as toabortion, a hot issue all over the world in recent decades. Some people with acertain kind of religious belief might regard abortion as unreasonable whileothers might think otherwise. Another important issue at hand is the lawsregarding the drainage of waste water. There is no denying that local people,as for as their health problems are concerned, might highly welcome such kindof laws. Nevertheless, factory owners, in order to earn a huge amount ofprofits and thus unwilling to buy high-priced facilities, might show theirdiscontent with such kind of laws.

Laws are enforced to maintain the well-being of society.Consequently, as a member of society, we should spare no effects to obey laws, whether they seem just or not. Otherwise, we might face the risk of beingpunished. If the factory owner mentioned above continues to throw waste waterinto the river without buying some technological facilities to improve thequality waste water, then he or she might be punished by law. The factory mightsuffer some economical crisis and might even face the risk of being closed.

Though it is our responsibility to obey laws regardless oftheir justness, it does not necessarily mean that we have no control over thoselaws that seem unjust to us. However, we should not disobey and resist unjust laws;otherwise there is no doubt that we might be punished by law. The best wayshould be to obey these laws and at the same time tell our government orlaw-makers that these laws might suffer from some fallacies. Then after fullyconsideration, there is a possibility that small modifications might be made tothese laws. Even if there were not, it might be highly probable that these lawsare made to ensure the benefits of others and we should restrict our behaviorsto meet these regulations as well.

As what has been discussed above, we can safely arrive atthe conclusion that the justness of laws differs from people to people. As aresult we should obey every sort of laws regardless of its justness butmeanwhile we should focus on the refinement of those unjust laws in our eyes.

The author concludes that there are two types of laws in theworld: just and unjust and every individual should obey just laws and disobeyand resist unjust laws. (我觉得这个复述有问题,光是简单的复述而不是转述不说,你没有说出关键,就是even more importantly,我觉得应该点名作者的倾向)However, I strongly hold that though some laws mightseem(eem是什么。。seem么,请LZ校正好自己的文章再发上来) just and vice verse, it is extremely difficult to distinguish just lawsfrom unjust ones. Consequently, every individual should obey laws, regardlessof its justness.
