"The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."

       Who compose the history?Great politician and heros or the whole groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten?I tend to agree that most fignificant events and tredns in history were made possible not by the famous fewm,but by the whole society .We must admit that great wall was not built by the King of Qin,American was not found by Washiton,the prosperity of the society was not brought only by some great scientist but the whole effort of society who is the really author of the history.
       Every successful revolution represent the will of the most people,not the leader .For instance ,world war II was not wage by Hitler himself,but a country full of aspiration and it is the will of a country that makes German a invador.It is the same reason that though English people admit that without Churchil the situation would not be what as it was,it is the effort of the whole country that makes England a winner in the world war II.It is obviously that history was not creat by one or two elite indivicual,but all people whose identities may be neglected.In a society,everyone works for others and benefit form the surrounding people ,base on which human become superior than the fiece animals.It is like driving a car ,steering wheel is the great lead ,who decide where to go ,but without the wheel ,structure,motor,light and glass,the car will never move an inch at all.Without the countless anonymous people ,history is nothing.Therefore the sturdy of history places too much emphasis on individal,that some one may have a misunderstand that history was the few great ones’.
       It is understandable that people only remember the great figure of history while we must keep in mind that all the society make the history.It is impossible for people to remember all the people in the history,so the someone who impress us most would stay in our brains.Comparing with ordinary people, great leaders and politician are far more expressive and have much more qualities people admire and study. It is naturally that people always remember the great hero who lead his people to triumph but forget an ordinary soldier who may fight hard for motherland and even devote his life.Let us take Magellan for example,he is usually being credited as the first man to circle the globe.But indeed he was killed while trying to subdue the natives on what is now the island of mactan in the Philippines before he done the great job.His fellow man complete the historic task through hard ships after his death.Why he is still regarded as the first man circle the globe give a good to explain why study of history place so much emphasis on individual:comparing with other individuals ,not the groups,they play the most important role.
       Leaders are from the people,people choice their leader who shares idea with them and represents their interesting.From this point of view,Leaders are a copy of the whole group who can speak and fight for the people support him.When two or more groups have a negociation ,they choose their elite leader talk to each other ,rather than have a big meeting that everyone of the group are requiered to present which is impossible.So the individual in history is just a representative,while people always remember the brightly figure we should never forget the great groups behind them which has often been forgotten.Thereore when evalue a historical event,we should not only focus on the behavior of the leader ,but also the whole condition of the groups.While admiring the great achievement of a politician ,we should never forget the anonymous people behind him, because the most public people are the real hero of the history and master of the future .
