1.         基本同意作者的观点，强调在树立合作精神的同时也要注意可行性
2.         世界上很多社会问题都是因为相互之间的不理解造成，国际大学可以通过不同国家学生之间的交流增进理解。
3.         许多问题也是由于各个国家只关心自己的利益，国际大学可以促进建立起国际精神。
4.         同时要注意实践上的细节，避免这样的大学被强大的国家所操纵。

I agree with the speaker that all nations should cooperate with each other to make contributions toward developing a global university, expecting to solve the world's most persistent social problems. Meanwhile, the practically feasibility is as important as the spirit of cooperation, and should be emphasized.

The world's persistent social problems, including wars and conflicts, global climate change, energy crisis and so forth, many of which are due to the misunderstandings between different countries with different cultural and economical backgrounds. We are living in such a huge world that there are hundreds of languages, millions of different customs. We are also living in a small world, where thousands of airplanes fly from country to country; ships carry cargos from coast to coast. People trade, talk, compete with each other, we are so close and so different that even a little mistake would lead to a big conflict. That is why the understanding is so important. Global university is a big family, where students from different nations could fully communicate. They learn from each other and the most important is, they could bring what they have learnt back to their nations to make everyone understands that we are friends, not enemies.

Moreover, a global university would lend a hand to cultivate an international spirit and global value system among the youth world wide. Looking back to the origin of the world social problems, we will find that is probably because that every nation stands on its own side without taking care of the benefits of the whole world, the "big family" where we live in. For example, to keep the economical growth, human beings have to consume a great amount of natural resources, such as oil, coals, and natural gases. As a result, every nation wishes to possess more resources while take little responsibility to control the emission of green house gases. They compete for their own nation, conflicts arise: critics, fights even the wars. But what about the earth? No one could survive if we destroyed our homeland. From this point of view, it is entirely necessary to educate the young people in a global university, where we can establish the notion of world.

However, how to build such a complex university and keep the students and teachers work together well is anther difficult task. As we all know, nations all over the world are at different economical, political and military level. University should be an equal place where students could learn the truth freely without any restrictions. It would be meaningless to build a distorted university when the powerful countries control the right to speak. It requires much hard work from all the nations. So it is an academic problem, as well as a political problem.  

In conclusion, a global university could promote the understanding between nations with different backgrounds. Meanwhile, it also plays a vital role in establish an international spirit, which helps to solve the world's persistent social problems. Nevertheless, we should also focus on the practical details, making any efforts to ensure that the university becomes a real palace as we expected.
