题目：ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

As people's living standard is becoming higher and higher, people begin to pay more attention on education than they did in the past. Lots of schools were built and there are numerous of students. Since different students have different characters and interests. Most of schools have selective courses for students, students could choose what they want to learn.   

It's true that when education is modified to meet each student's needs and interests, they will study hard. Because they could learn what they like, what they learned could meet their needs. However,it's not a practical way for education to specifically designed to meet each student's flavor.

If education was modified to suit each students. We could imagine that the government will hire lots of teachers. Because there are always more the thirty students during lessons in one classroom. Compare with the number of students, there is only one teacher. So, since different students have different character, they may also have different habit of study. Some students are prefer to listen to the teacher while taking notes. Other students like to listen to the teacher and ask teacher questions instead of taking notes. Some students want to have a disscusion during the class while others want to have a lecture . There are still lots of other study methods. Teachers have to teach students in methods students like. But it's impossible for one teacher to use several teaching methods at the same time. Students need more teachers to teach each of them. Government have to hire numerous teachers and pay salary for those teachers. It will bring the heavy financial burden on government's shoulders.

If government put all of its money on education just in order to let education meets each student's needs, there will be no money on other crucial aspects. Such as national defense, public health and transportation. Without national defense, one country can't defense itself when other countries invade it. There will be no peace. Students may have to flee away from schools. Without a good health system, student's health can't be improved, they are more likely to fall ill. Without a good transportation, students may have to walk to school. And it will cost them more time. In such a situation, we can't say that the education  is effective,even each student's interests are satisfied

When education is designed to meet each student's need. Students will be self-prouded. Because they think that others are just their servants. Why they think others are their servants, because that  education let students to "fully" meet their interests. When students want to learn chemistry, education have to provide chemistry labs and other resources to meet their needs. When students want to learn dance and music, schools have to build dancing hall and music hall for them. When students are get used to such an enviroment, they will think that each of their needs have to be satisfied. However, students are not gods. There are lots of things which can't be done just because people need them. The purpose of education is to cultivate students, let them become useful people, help the country to develop society and develop the country. It's a long and difficult way for people to develop their country. Sometimes, people have to work together in order to reach their denestination. If students treat others as servants or waiters. Can we say that our education is effective? Absolutly not.

To sum up, it may be a good thing for education to meet students' needs in some aspects. However, too much attention on students' needs and interests will be harmful for the whole country
