题目：ISSUE83 - "Government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state, even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people."

Should government preserve publicly owned wilderness areas, no matter how remote these areas are? At a whole stand, wilderness areas should be preserved not only by government, but also by people whoever get the chance to access them.

People are often tending to ignore things out of sight, such as wilderness areas in this issue. Few ever think about them, let along discuss whether government should preserve them. However, it is often the case that the least we emphasize, the most important role things play. Wilderness areas, which are often extremely remote and thus only a few people could access, remain mysterious for lack of information provided by our precursors whereas we cannot overlook its function to the whole simply for we are not familiar with them. For instance, when adventurers first stepped into the Amazon Jungle, they were shocked by the creatures that nature offers. Countless kinds of plants and animals live there for hundreds of years. Human beings live far away from them thus know few about them. We learn more about them later as scientists put more efforts in researches on the jungle, bur we are also clear that we still cannot find everything in this enormous rainforest. It has been proved that, after years of study and works of hundreds of scientists, Amazon Jungle make a great influence on the global climate and holds large quantities of underground waters. As long as people realize how important these wilderness areas are, it is granted that not only government should preserve them, but every single person should take the responsibility that we should protect them.

Besides, even these areas are accessible to only a few people, it is very possible that they are homelands of some species especially of the unknown ones to human discovery. Though it usually appears in fictions that some out space creature lives in undiscovered areas on earth, we can still believe that there may live rare species in these areas where little artifact pollution make effect. According to a report from a biologist in Australia, an unnamed insect has been discovered in the northeast beach area. We can see in this example that no matter how tiny the creature is, it's a part of our biosphere on earth and we have no reason to ignore their homeland but it's our human being’s job to preserve these areas.

Furthermore, we should think about more about our homeland-- the earth. Since pollution to the environment has been a major global problem, we may need to think about the future of ourselves and our future generations. Even though some countries have tried their best to solve these problems with technologies and more education to citizens, we still face the fact that someday we may not be able to live in the place where we stayed now since some certain pollutions has been proved that no means can save them such as chemical  or biological pollutions. Thus to preserve those publicly owned wilderness areas in the natural state may at least guarantee that people have got somewhere to live if the tragedy ever happened. Even though people have discovered some effective methods to fight with pollution, the increasingly serious overpopulation became another global problem. As some countries in the world such as Japan that has suffered the most severe people rate, additional wilderness areas may be asked to be exploited for future generations.

In conclusion, no matter from what point of view, the global climate, the wild species, or the human lives, wilderness areas should be preserved by not only government, but also individuals since everyone has the responsibility to protect our environment and ultimately our earth.
