Someone prefer having others make decisions for them, while others prefer making decisions for themselves, what is your opinion?

In our daily life, there are numerous situations where we should make decisions. Some people prefer having others make decisions for them, while others prefer making decisions for themselves. However, in my opinion, it is no doubt that I would agree that people should make decisions for themselves.

There are two reasons for supporting my point. In the first place, I think that people do not live for others but themselves. People must be responsible for themselves. No matter how reasonable others’ decisions are, these decisions are belong to other people, and resulted from their own standpoint, not from ours. Owing to the reason mentioned above, people should make decision for themselves.

In the second place, when it comes to make a significant decision, we must make it by our own. Because at that time, we are usually at the turn-point of our lives. The decisions that we make at that time are inclined to have a profound influence on the rest of our lives, and make us more mature than before. Hence, for these important decisions, people, with no question, should make decisions for themselves. Take me for instance, when I graduated from my college, there are two pathways in front of my life, go to find a job or go on studying for accomplishing master degree. Finally, although there are amount of suggestions from my family and friends, I had to decide to find a job instead of continue to study in college for my further goal after my careful consideration.

Admittedly, people can not be more careful to make an important decision. Consequently, in order to make a sound decision, we have to consult others to get more information to help us make more feasible, rational and effective decisions. For example, as students, when they need to choose courses, they should go to get advices from their professors or tutors; as job-hunters, when they have to apply for a job, they had better go to get suggestions from those who are working or more experienced applicants; as a common person, when we are at the crisscross of our lives, we have to get advices from our parents, friends and others who we are trusted in.

From what have been discussed above, we can finally draw the conclusion that people should make decisions for themselves.
