那么我自问
科学的功能是什么？解惑的同时给人类带来更多困惑
艺术的目的是什么？可能每个人答案都不一样


Living in ahighly-developed society, people now have a more convenient life with the helpof science, whose function is to remove the doubts and fear. However, I disagree with the statement that ‘The purpose of art is to upset’.
The processof science, as we all know, is to discover, assure( tell someone something positively) and reassure( remove the doubts and fears). What science tends todo is to solve problems for people. In prehistoric age, people felt puzzled and frightened about natural phenomena and therefore started to rely on sorcery,which could be regarded as the earliest exploration of science. Today, science ranges from the micro field, what is in the blood, to the macro field, what is in the universe. 。Not only can we answer these questions, but also use scientific knowledge to create inventions.Inspired of a flash of light, which we feared at first, people discover the existence of electricity. Until now, we are already surrounded by electronic appliance, suchas TV sets, telephones, lamps, computers and so forth.
Since many problems have been successfully solved, life should be simple and relaxed.However, as a consequence, when some of the new scientific technologies appeared, many people, included myself, find ourselves even more lost and puzzled about future. Today, we go to the chat rooms for friends instead ofgoing to bar. But are they real friends? We have already invented nuclearweapons with extreme power that can destroy the globe. But are we more safe or more dangerous? In the future, we can create life with the technology of cloning. But is it civil or irresponsible? The more we learn, the more we felt puzzled. The development push humans one step and another forward, but nobody is aware of what humans are to confront. Both the advantages and disadvantages are maximized by science objectively and cruely.
Unlike science, art is definitely subjective creation by artists, who capture inspiration, make choice and take practice. Therefore, the purpose of art varies from person to person. Take drawing as an example. Since the prehistoricfresco of La Colomel with lively animal images, art has existed. The goal ofart is simply to keep record and represent. Subsequently, in the Christian drawing, images like God,Maria and saints appeared on paper. Art was served for religious power then toencourage people to believe in God. In the Renaissance, humanity was emphasized in art. For instance, religious images were created to be common rather thanremote to saints. When it comes to the Impressionism, artists began to feel the change of light on the surface of rivers in hope of capture the beauty of nature. It seems art is always changing and aims of art differ as well, which is the attraction of art.
Magically,art is somehow rectifying and/or compensating for the over-development ofscience and technology. Power of art comfort humankind when they face the destructive pain brought by over-development of science and technology. As the Nazi Germany’s Luftwaffle boomed Guernica—a Spanish town on April 26 in 1937,people grieved to death. Picasso saw the headline of Guernica’s booming on thenewspaper next day, he was shocked by the fire in the picture. Guernica, thepainting full of weird images and broken composition, will stay permanent, even if the name of the town should be forgotten in hundreds of years. Art is an universal language to console humans.
In this highly-developed society, science no longer is a simple quenstion- why we see the light earlier than hear the thunder. We are more efficient, productive and convenient, but also more confused. On the other side, art, an subjective creation in a long term,expresses human emotion even for different purposes.Sometimes, we turn to art for the answers that cannot be given by scientific axioms. After all, both the value of science and art is to provide a more free and more pleasant life to humankind.

科学：一，科学经过 discover assure reassure的过程，希望能够去掉人们的疑惑。人类从一开始对自然现象的不解、敬畏，开始使用巫术sorcery－可以认为是最早的对科学的探讨。到渐渐地科学的领域已经从最微观到最宏观，从我们的血液里有什么，到我们的宇宙里有什么二，我们不仅可以回答，甚至可以利用科学去发明创造。我们从敬畏闪电，到发现电的存在，到现在我们身边几乎一切能源都由电支持。电视机、电话、电灯、电脑。

三、可是 当我们的许多困惑解决了，生活似乎更应该透明而清晰。可是，结果却是，当一些新的技术出现，许多人，包括我在内 都是更加的迷茫了。
四、艺术、不同于科学的客观，艺术一直都是主观的创造，由艺术家捕捉灵感进行策划并实施的。也就是说，艺术的目的是因人而已。
五、神奇的是，艺术或多或少地在为科学发展的迷茫和不按补偿或校正。当人们面临因为科学发展带来的灾难的伤痛时，艺术的力量及时的熨帖了他们。
总结；当我们生活在现在这样一个科技发达的社会，科学不再只是讯问为什么我们比听见雷声会先听见闪电。它帮助我们更加的高产、高效、更便捷，却也分外的困惑了起来。而艺术－长久以来由艺术家创作的主观创造物，尽管创作的目的不同，但是都是情感的表达。有的时候，我们想艺术寻求那些公理无法结局的疑问。毕竟，艺术和科学的价值都在于给人类一种更自由更快乐的生活。
希望指导一下，1 这样的理解算不算论证的时候在层层推进了？最后一个论点是不是有点突兀呢？
