不知道你求改哪篇。。所以就改了7.18..
Do you agree or disagree the following statement? The advice from grandparents has no use for their grandchildren because the world has changed a lot during the past 50 years.
Although it seems plausible that the rules of the world are changing along with the rapid development , I believe the saying that wise people are more possibly the olds (‘old’ is actually regarded a negative word to describe people. You may use ‘the elderly’ to refer to senior citizens.) who have experienced a lot and hold the point that advices (‘advice’ is often used as a singular mass noun like ‘water’, which means you’d use just the singular to mean the plural.) from them are definitely valuable. (The ‘believe’ part of this sentence is somehow incomplete, as you need to say ‘I believe the saying <blah> is true/not true’..unless you mean you ‘believe in’ a saying.) I would like to do some analysis to support my perspective.
For one thing, no matter how different we are from our grandparents, a bunch (This is actually a very informal use of ‘bunch’. You may use ‘a number of ‘.) of qualities pursued by human-beings are perpetually the same, such as the qualities of honesty, integrity, bravery, diligence and so forth. Our grandparents are the ones who has actually witnessed how these qualities make men successful or help a society advance; without the advices of these people how can we realize the importance of these time-tested values.(1. ‘how can..’ is actually a question; 2. You can’t connect complete sentences with just a comma.) I bet that most people have heard real stories like something about the success of brave and integrity (This is a noun, and it doesn’t really have an adjective form..you need an adjective here, e.g ‘honest’.) people from their grandparents when they were kids; (Again, you can’t connect sentences using just a comma, unless one is a dependent clause..) actually these kinds of real stories or experiences have influenced us to a great extent on how to judge things around us. So, from this aspect, just as how history affects (‘effect’ is a noun; ‘affect’ is a verb.) us positively, advices from the olds is undeniably valuable.
Also, as for some skills of solving problems, the role of advices from old people cannot be replaced by any other staff (‘staff’ are people hired by an institution..I don’t see why you have to use this word here.). It is universally acknowledged that the progress of human-beings is not a matter of just a few years, and that most of the development are the results of accumulation of experiences from generation to generation and reformation and improvement based on them. Thus advices of old people, in most cases, are efficient and useful ones and have been tested by their real experiences. (But the point of the question is exactly this: because the world has changed so much, the experiences of older people, efficient and useful they might have once been in the past, would become irrelevant. Your arguments are supposed to prove that this is not true..but what you did in this paragraph is only focused on how older people have efficient and useful experiences, and not enough on how such experiences remain relevant.)
In addition, all the old people are not fall behind our age. (I think you mean ‘not all the old people are behind our age’. If you say ‘all..are not’, you mean to say that all of them are keeping up, and not a single one of them is falling behind..which is obviously not easy to prove.) Admittedly, old people like our grandparents are not very good at learning new things. However, many of them still try their best to catch up with the pace of the modern society. For instance, I've read a news (‘news’ is singular mass and uncountable, so you’d say ‘the news says..’, ‘I’ve heard news about..’) about an old woman who got her bachelor's degree when she was 60 years old. I think advices from these people cannot be considered as useless because of out of ages. On the contrary , these advices combined with their experiences will be even more valuable for the youths.
After these analysis, we can safely draw a conclusion that it is unwise to regard the advice from grandparents useless mainly because of unchangeable values we pursue, precious skills of solving problems passing from the olds and the old people who never fall behind our age. In real life, we ought to respect the advices proposed by old people like our grandparents.
总结:
这篇的论述词汇都很好,就是长句的句法有些乱。请特别注意在英语里两个句子如果都是独立句子,是不能用逗号直接分开的,要么用分号,要么用分句。。还有就是稍微要注意下词性~
