Nowadays, people are more likely to choose the electronic media, such as computer and internet, television, to get information and knowledge. Some people hold the idea that students will not use printed books any more after twenty years. As far as I am concerned, although the demand for printed books will decrease to a certain degree, it is overestimated to state that printed books will disappear in the students' study.

The decreasing demand of the books could be accounted for some important reasons. For one thing, it is much more economic to use electronic books compared to the high price of the printed books. This phenomenon has becoming increasingly remarkable in some developed countries. Take Canifornia for example, the state government had banned a new law to enlarge the usage of electronic study materials. For another, declining the use of printed books do better to the environment. More and more trees will be preserved to protect our nature.Thus, the printed books will be replaced to a certain degree.

Despite the decreasing demands of printed books, it is exaggerating to say that students will not use printed books anymore. The traditional printed books will still have its own position. The computer and internet may always distract the students from true learning. Second, some students may have better feeling to printed books. Those who hope to do a great job in the modern society should bear a lot of knowledge. So, it is required to acquire knowledge and develop our social relationship during the college period. For one thing, the college is the best place for us to acquire knowledge and become specialized. I cannot imagine that people who want to be an engineer without any background of college education. Take the successful businessmen in China for example, most of them possess excellent education background.
