TOPIC: ISSUE48 - "The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."

Not only those great individuals that made a significant events and trends in history deserve the respect and emphasis, but those ordinary people who do their jobs and make their own contribution do as well.
Open our history books, we may find they are consisted from different distinguished politics,leaders,scientists and artists. And we have take it for granted that are those out-standing individuals that actually made our history and the world. In fact, exams make us to do so. When it comes to culture of Tang dynasty, we list Li Bai and Du Fu to represent the peak of poems in acient China ; we learn that life at that time was good, so that we praise the wisdom of the monarches; we may point out Li Shizhen, who wrote a marked book on medicines, to stand for promotion on Pharmacology; that was the case that we have confirm the habit to take a glance at the history by looking at great individuals and their genious works.
There is no doubt that those great persons deserve such respect. With their gifts and diligent work, markstones of modern sociaty slowly came out. It is Watt who took use of evaporation and brought the first Industrial Revolution and greatly changed people's life; because of Newton's discovery of gravity and then the basic physics was built; and the very theory of Einstein had brought the research into the quantum world; and the new prospective of Monet that inspired people to a brand-new appreciation to paitings; and Martin Luther King was the great catalyst to the fight against racial discrimination.
However, maybe this sociaty has overrated the works of this individuals, and overlooked the endeavors from the citizens. It is the common citizens that do their daily jobs and help the whole world function well. We have ignored those cleaners, who help us to live in a better environment; and those taxi drivers make it available that we could conveniently move even in midnight; and the teachers, love our children, guade them and teach them knowledge.
Unfortunately, those who play the crucial parts get little respect from the sociaty. Without thousands of workers, stars such as Madonna of Micheal Jackson would have no state to perform; without the endeavor of ordinary citizens, Olympic Game would never be held in any cities. We need people to do these ordinary jobs, but after a careful thinking, their jobs are extraordinary as well.They are large group do their contribution without applause which they deserve the most.
Besides the emphasis on our leaders, our Nobel Prize winners, the millions dollars worthy paiting's painters, the sociaty should rejustify the value of the ordinary individuals.
