17.There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws.

Nowadays, we live in a highly civilized and prosperous society. Laws contribute a lot to one country’s stability and prosperity. The very function of law is to resist people from doing wrongs and keep the society in order. In that case, it is not properly to divide laws into just or unjust. Every individual in the society should obey the law unconditionally.

The justness and unjustness of laws are judged by people. However, different group pursue the different interests, each law would be just to one group of people while unjust to other group of people. Therefore, it is too objectively to define one law as just or unjust. Take for a factory which has the possibility to harm the environment for instance, with the sense of protecting our environment many countries have enacted environment legislation, which seems to be unjust to the workers in that factory. Because, in order to eliminate the concentration of contamination in the waste water the factory should spend a lot of money to adopt the advanced setouts to reach the acquirement according to the environmental protecting law. In that case the profit will be possibly declined and the wages of every worker in the factory will be diminished too. However, to the people who live in the neighborhood the law is exactly just because with the help of law they can enjoy a nice environment for their lives.

Importantly, it is every citizen’s duty to obey laws, whether they think it’s just or not. According to the theory of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 18th century French political philosopher, in a democratic society the state represents the general will of the citizens, and that in obeying its laws each citizen is pursuing his own real interests. In that case, laws express the general will which represent the moral standpoint. Assuming that if people have the right to choose disobey the law which they think is unjust, it definitely will bring about much disputes which lead our society into a big chaos. Laws act like the behavioral criteria of people’s daily life because which human beings can live harmony and happily.

Undeniably, there do exist some inappropriateness in some laws which are harmful to general people’s warfare. However, laws are not monotonous. With the development of society, the law system keeps improving and being consummated. If someone finds the law is unjust he should adopt some other measures to challenge the law other than simply disobey it. For there are many department one can turn to and propose the suggestions to mend the law.

In sum, it is hard to define the law is just or unjust. If we run into the unjustness in the law, we should not resist them directly but adopt other wise choices.

Nowadays, we live in a highly civilized and prosperous society. Laws contribute a lot to one country’s stability and prosperity. The very function of law is to resist people from doing wrongs and keep the society in order. In that case, it is not properly to divide laws into just or unjust. Every individual in the society should obey the law unconditionally.(开头很好)

The justness and unjustness of laws are judged by people. However, different group(改用复数?) pursue the different interests, each law would be just to one group of people while unjust to other group of people. Therefore, it is too objectively(副词?) to define one law as just or unjust. (例子,我咋没想到呢)

Assuming that if people have the right to choose disobey the law which they think is unjust, it definitely will bring about much disputes which lead our society into a big chaos. Laws act like the behavioral criteria of people’s daily life because (of)which human beings can live harmony and happily.

个人认为行文例子都很好,结尾稍显潦草
