No era in history than today abound with such huge amount of knowledge, most of it is verified by scientists with experiments and inferences, which is taught in school. However, as human’s experience increases, the knowledge might change. It is beneficial for students to be skeptical about what they have learned, which helps them develop the ability of thinking independently. Yet overdue and blind skepticism might have a chilling effect in the a young child's education, if they were to skeptic all things they learned without a rational consideration and a solid foundation


The spirit of skepticism is the driving force in the diverse fields. The knowledge we have learned today is merely an explanation of things and phenomenon in the world for the moment, but not the final answer to the planet, it closes to the truth rather than the exact truth. If we accepted the prevailing principles of experts and authorities without any doubt, we would never make a clear and complete understanding of ourselves and the world around us. History is replete with numerous examples of students who make a great
contribution by challenging the established notions in science. In refuting the theories of Gale, William Harvey discovered the
circulation of the blood and the role of the heart in propelling it, which lay the foundation of modern physiology; In challenging the Aristotle's
belief that the speed of fall is proportional to the weight ,Galileo found the laws of falling bodies, which paved the way for the further
evolvement of physics. The staggering cumulative impact of Harvey and Galileo's rejection of what they had been taught is proof enough of value of skepticism, if they were to accept all what had been told, the society would not make a progress.



The value of skepticism is not limited to science, of course. In the realm of art, students should think critically about the established styles and form their own art styles
by making a innovation rather than by blindly imitating what teacher taught them. For instance, at the early age of learning painting
Leonardo da Vinci moved away from his teacher's rigid, stiff ,and tight treatment of figures to
develop a more evocative
handling of composition. Without this stylistic innovation the masterpiece of The Last Supper might never be
created. Besides, The Schools of Painting such as Cubism, Expressionism, and Impressionism do exclusively not adhere to the established style by challenging the limit of conventional form. It might be because the artists challenge the established art forms, the art field of today is full of vitality and thrives.


Excessive, blind
or even radical skepticism, however, might be counterproductive in educating young children. According to the terms of philosophy blind and radical skepticism would lead to nihilism -the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known, students who hold this opinion might have no passion to learn because they believe that knowledge is nothing, which run counter to the goals of education. As for a young student whose foundation of knowledge and experience is not solid, excessive skepticism would be simply a waste of time for those students. And it is entirely possible that the opinions they proposed are little value or even not scientific .


In sum, skepticism can serve an important catalyst for young students in the process of learning in the study. However, the best way to learn for students is to encourage the spirits of skepticism in the education while considering the harmful consequences of excessive and radical sk
