然而，我们不能不说有更多的因素影响了社会的命运，而且，有些因素还具有很强的影响力。比如科技进步，民主化程度等。科技的影响：全球通信，促进交流，细化分工，使更少的人能养活全部。民主：拒绝独裁，拒绝专制，避免社会成为某些人豪赌的筹码。

同时，我们也不能在培养小孩的方面过于悲观。虽然作者说没有找到培养能帮助带来更好社会的孩子之方法
首先我们不知道什么是一个更好的社会，于历史对比，我们当前的社会就是最好的社会，但是怎样更好，我们自己也不清楚。其次，可能对于这个方法并不一定存在，或者是多样性的。

Whatdetermines the destiny of our society? Is it only about how children aresocialized today? Or there are more factors which also show its important rulein affecting our society? In my opinion, there are many other elements affectingthe destiny of society, and many of which can overshadow the one given by theauthor.

Firstof all, we should admit the powerful influence of socialization on the futureof our society. The development of our society, from tribes in Africa to modern earth village, is somehow about thehistory of socialization in every detailed area with our society. Throughendless specification of each single workingprocedure and incessant integration of thesesmallest procedures, we greatly accelerate the amount of contributions individualscan provide to the well-beings of society. Looking back to every great step wetake in develop, we can see the trace of improvement in socialization. Take theIndustrial Revolution, which bring out not only an empire on which the sun never sets, but also the rudimentof world today, as an example. This mighty revolution begins soon after theformation of a new form of socialization, which is the relation between thecompany and individual employee. It is easy to find out the significantdifference by the shift of how people are socialized, thus understand the impactof socialization on the destination of society.

However,there is not only the socialization of people can influence the destiny of oursociety, some of which might have more impact on the future of society. I thinkthe development of technology is a fitting factor which can overshadow thesocialization of people. After the Industry Revolution, technology has broughtgreat improvement on us, the connection between individuals from all over theworld changed from months to merely a second. Thanks to the Internet, we cannow surf on the internet and say hello to friend in the other sphere of earth, whomwe can only write letters to in 40 years earlier. Also, the level ofcivilization has a great impact on the well-being of society. Can you continueyour work in a day when you have to worry about your own safety? Can you keepyour efficiency when you are working with churls around? If not, so can not oursociety in keeping its efficiency with no civilization, not to say a brightfuture.

Insum, how children aresocialized today determines the destiny of society in some term, but we shouldbe aware of many other factors which may have more influence on our society.
