In this argument the arguers claims that the unique Palean
basekets were not distinctive in Palea because such a basket was found in Lithos across the BrimRiver from Palea. To justify the conclusion, the author cites the fact that Palean people have no method and need to go across the deep and broad BrimRiver to go to Lithos. At first glance, the foundation the author’s argument relies on seems considerably sound, close scrutiny over it; nevertheless, it omits several important concerns that lend credible support to the conclusion that it is unreliable and very weak.

First of all, the conclusion depends on the assumption that Palean people had difficulty in going across the BrimRiver . Yet no evidence is offered to warrant the assumption. It is possible that the BrimRiver used to be so shallow and narrow that people cross it easily. Lacking information about the real condition of BrimRiver in the previous year, the author can’t make a persuasive argument

In the second place, one problem with the argument involves the cited reason that people had to cross the BrimRiver by boat. Neither any conclusive scientific evidence nor any anecdotal evidence is provided to affirm the assumption that there was no other methods for the Palean people to cross the river .It is possible that they could go across over a bridge or just walk a little further to avoid the river. To reach the cited conclusion, the arguer must explain why they had to go by boat.

In the third place, the author fails to consider the other facts contributing to the movement of Palean People. There are many elements working in the decision whether to cross the river, including not only eagerness for food, but also aspiration to explore and know the world. Lacking of a complete analysis of the reason why they went across the BrimRiver, the author’s conclusion amounts to nothing.

Finally, the author overlook the possibility that there maybe other creatures to bring the woven basket but not the people in Palea. It is possible that
an bear fetched a basket full of berries and nuts from Palea to Lithos to feed its family. In the face of such limited evidences, it is fallacious to draw any conclusion at all.

To sum up, the
conclusion is baffling and unfounded as it stands. To make it logically acceptable that Palean people did not cross the river ,the author must also supply enough evidence that they can hardly cross the river without a boat while there is no other way to reach Lithos. To better assess the argument the author should also furnish.convincing evidence showing that no other creatures can bring the woven basket from Palean to Lithos.

In this argument the
author一般這麼稱呼,且為單數
claimsthat the unique Palean basekets were not distinctive in Palea because such a basket was found inLithos across the BrimRiver from Palea. To justify the conclusion, the authorcites the fact that Palean people have no method and need to go across the deepand broad BrimRiver to go to Lithos. 如果時間不夠,前面這段完全不必要寫,具體看Adeline的分析At first glance, the foundation the argument relies on seemsconsiderably sound, and closescrutiny over it(應該是形容詞)逗號nevertheless, it omits several important concerns that lend credible support tothe conclusion that it is unreliable and very weak.

First of all, the conclusion depends on the assumption that Palean people haddifficulty in going across the BrimRiver . Yet no evidence is offered towarrant the assumption. It is possible that the BrimRiver used to be so shallowand narrow that people cross it easily. Lacking information about the realcondition of BrimRiver in the previous year, the author can’t make a persuasiveargument

secondly就够了, one problem withthe argument involves the cited reason that people had to cross the BrimRiverby boat. Neither any conclusive scientific evidence nor any anecdotal evidence這段有些啰嗦 is provided toaffirm the assumption that there was no other methods for the Palean people tocross the river .It is possible that they could go across over a bridge or justwalk a little further to avoid不知道用得對不對 theriver. To reach the cited conclusion, the arguer must explain why they had to goby boat.
