Would people be more successful and happier when they go outside rather than stay in their villages? This statement raises various issues about success, happiness, life and choice. On balance, however, I agree with the notion that going outside of the village is a wiser choice for success and happiness for several reasons below.

To begin with, the outside world provides far more sources for people to achieve their goals. Opportunity in a relatively small village is fairly limited, no matter in job supply or education that provided, which prevents people from further individual development. But it is different in outside a small village. In large cities, more companies with strong background enable more supply of job as well as larger stage for better performance in work place, which ultimately enhances workers’ overall capability and helps them access to success. Besides, there are plenty of excellent competitors come from different places which people would not encounter in small villages, which also inspiring individuals to make progress in their field. All those factors stimulate people taking efforts to attain their goal so that it is more possible to success outside village.

On the other hand, working and living outside village provides people various experience that benefit to a happy life. Life is about experience. Every plot of experience constitute people life and the more variety the experience is, the more complete and perfect the life will be, in which a happy life stems from. Moreover, diverse experience contributes to a positive attitude towards life, while limited in a small village with an unchanging world leads to an offensive emotion and hardly could those people enjoy their current life. Thus, to the extent of happiness, people definitely benefit more from the life outside the village.

In sum, compared with living in a village, I tend to believe people outside are more probably to attain success and happiness because in a larger world with more resources, there will be more opportunity to success and more variety experience to constitute a happy life.

Nowadays, as an essential part of technology advances and human civilization, education has attracted more and more attention and how teachers should perform in class also become one of the hottest controversies. Some people believe that being strict to students is always the most efficient way to improve students’ study, while others claims that today teachers should play a role as an easygoing friend. As I see it, although formal teacher always give people an impression of strict (ness or being strict), it is indeed the best way for efficiency.

To begin with, teacher should play as an admirable model of students that takes cautious and serious attitude on study. Consider, although a humorous and easygoing teacher can successfully make an active atmosphere in class which indeed encourages students to participate in class interaction, students might simply think the teacher is intriguing, but not the class or the study. Moreover, by instilling excessively positive attitude towards study, students won’t take study as a serious thing and probably change their viewpoint on study to be as a relaxing learner rather than a hard working person. On the contrary, a strict teacher is always reminding students of keeping correct and serious attitude towards study.

Besides, encouragement from strict teacher is much more effective which (which指代的是？如果是“encouragement”那中心词是否离得稍微远些了) inspire student to work harder. For example, we were forced to recite lessons in textbook by our primary school English teacher, an extreme strict teacher hardly smile in class. After I recited all lessons and realized my English was indeed improved in some degree, she told me that I did great job, which really encouraged me to work harder. Praise from a such strict teacher is a significant（是名词？可数？） and marked ratify（是名词？or ratification） and confirmation which fairly improve their efforts and energy cost on study and give them a  great sense of achievement, and more importantly, effectively inspire students’ further enthusiasm in study.

In sum, although being strict to student seems to be a antiquate way in teaching, it (is) still very effective, rather than a humorous way for (or from) a(n) easygoing teacher. Because strict teacher is the best model of establishing the correct attitude (态度有积极的，或消极的，正确的比较少见) on study; besides, students will take the praise from strict teacher more preciously which encourage them work harder.

Is it easier to be a success in the past than it is today? 09-10-10
How to get success is a constant controversy for people. Some might asserts that with the advances of technology and human civilization, fiercer competition and higher pressure in society leads to less possibility to success. However, as I see it, people today are easier to achieve their goals to success for several reasons as follows.

First, although industrial advances and technological revolution bring more people to cities to earn their living which appears to have enhanced the competition, the statement fails to account for the countless job opportunities that advances and revolution supply. Also, new industries allow people to create far more kinds of careers than before. Consider, for example, intranet, the internet establishes a great and convenient way to communication globally and efficiently, where a lot of people open their own business to earn their living or even achieve in their field.

Second, with the accelerating pace of life and higher pressure of work, people make far more effort than before, which leads them to success. Pressure is always the best driving force. Only in such fierce competitive world, could people fully excavate their potentiality and take advantage of their talents and skills for attaining the goal. Otherwise, in a bland environment with no sense of competition or pressure, hardly can people perform their best aspect in the workplace.

On the other hand, the last stance lies in the improved quality of education people receive today. thousands universities and technical college are established to offer people various specific knowledge and skills for their future career in which a lot of professional teachers and experts would provide advices to people study. Moreover, those schools also afford students precious opportunities for actual project in real companies to attain practical knowledge and experience that would definitely contribute to their future achievement. And with the better equipment that modern education system support, it is much easier to chase people dreaming goal.

In sum, today the society actually provides more job opportunities for people as well as a well competitive environment to activate people’s potential capability. And more importantly, well quipped education system today enables people to be successful workers. Thus, it is more possible to be success today rather than in the past.

Some people protest that people should not move to a new city or country for the reason that in this way they will lose their old friends. In my point of view, however, the two are not mutually exclusive. People definitely can keep friendship even in long distance with the help of modern technology, and in turn, friendship will not fade away by the distance.

To begin with, advanced technology today enables people to communicate and keep in touch globally and conveniently. The internet provides a fast and efficient way for information exchanging and constant interaction between people. Consider, with the help of skype, a popular software for conversation through internet, friends are allowed to talk to each other face to face by video calls even one of them is on the other side of the world. On the other hand, as the technology of transportation continues to develop rapidly, the world seems to be much smaller than before. For example, the fastest train in the world from Wuhan to Guangzhou in China is able to be accelerated to 350 kilometer per hour, which reduces the time consumption from the previously whole night to a couple of hours.

More importantly, friend is unlike family members that should be stay together always. Most of the time the friends people made are not in the home town or even in the country they live. When several person have chance to stay together or to coordinate for a project, for example, they probably become friends if they have something common. But as soon as the project is over, they might go back to their life separately. Thus, friends are no longer together but friendship remains. Some people might argue that the friends in their hometown or home country are best and true friends they have. As I see it, this kind of precious and profound friendship would not be effected easily by merely distance, especially when they could contact each other as often as before through internet and modern technology.

In sum, true friendship wouldn’t fade away despite of distance, and with the help of modern technology as internet and transportation tools today, friends are allowed to communication as easily as before. Therefore, people shouldn’t worry about losing their old friendship when moving to other cities or countries.

Along with the development of technology and society, film and television industry boom and participate in every people’s daily life. Some people protest that through those media, it always should be shown to audience that good people being rewarded and bad people being published. As far as I concern, however, television and movie, as prevailing media nowadays, plays an important role in morally public education so that it should show audience the truth of the society and our life.

To begin with, there is no way around the fact that a simply bad person doesn’t exist in the world, and there is no absolutely right or wrong, either. Good people being rewarded and bad people being punished is only involved in a completely ideal world. Or in other words, it is just illusion. Thus, as the television and movie is the most popular means that people access to information and news, they have democratic impact on people’s point of view to society and human beings which results in an affirmative duty placed on them. Thus, it is their responsibility to prevent people living in the illusion of good-and-bad world.

Furthermore, also those media should fully take advantage of their impact on the public to reveal to their audience that how bad aspect of the society and human comes – in order to help people establish a thoughtful and principled value system and encourage them live in a positive way. Some might argue that self-experience is the best teacher, only through a mistake made by people their own which results to a bad or even harmful impact, can people distinguish right and wrong and to be a good person. But with the help of movie and television, which allows us to experience a lot of educational events in a vivid and impressing way, people could better understand fundamental standards and basic principle of living without suffering from self-experience, especially when television and movie are unavoidable media in people’s life.

In sum, as the discussion above, television and movies are prevailing media to people’s life so that it is a vital duty for them to reveal to public that the world is not simply black and white, and also to teach people lessons about basic living principles, rather than just showing people that good people being rewarded and bad people being published.
