Success is a constant topic for public, no matter in the past when people could only just sustain their livelihood or in the modern life with fairly enhanced living standard and comfort level. Some people argue that success in the past is appear to be easier than today for the increasing work pressure and accelerating pace of life that advanced technology and modern society bring about today. As I see it, however, it is easier for people today to maintain achievement.

To begin with, compared with the past, nowadays variety kinds of industries along with the advances of technology have sprung up that provides countless opportunities. Steel, for instance, is a significant industry in the world which helped accelerate industrial progress and totally changed human’s life. Now human have applied other kinds of metal like aluminum and alloy which are much lighter and stronger than steel and moreover, the resources are more plentiful. Although steel is still utilized in important fields like structure of building and bridges which alloy cannot replace, metal industry now have expended to larger areas which definitely supply people far more opportunities for success than before.

Besides, much more new field have open recently that serves even more chance access to success. On one hand, intranet and satellite technology enables a brand new “on-line” world so that people are allows to open their own business on the internet, explore a new web system for global communication with the satellite’s help, or even pursuing a career to affording technical support of those systems. On the other hand, people’s need have increased dramatically. Unlike just to satisfy the essential requirement for food and cloth, today people not only demand extra material like luxury vehicles and extravagant houses, but also mental release and experience. As a result sports centers are established, villa residents are built, various art exhibitions are hold. Even people now begin to pay attention to their pet, as a member of the family, which stimulates the business of animals such as pet hospital, store.

In sum, modern technological advances have markedly enlarged  formal industry and business to much broader areas and even brand new fields that people in the past couldn’t even image. And people’s demand for their physical and mental life also increased. All of this provides countless job and opportunities to success compared with the past. therefore, I concede that today people are easier to be success.

Do you think that young people should take several different kinds of job before they take a career in a long term?

Should young people involve in several different jobs before their long term career? Admittedly, time devoted to other different jobs might seem to be a waste because it probably contributes to their long term career. As far as I concern, taking different jobs ahead is a wiser choice for three reasons as follow.

First, through various kinds of jobs, young people are able to know their true talents, interests, skills and their own personalities, which provide impressive and persuasive suggestion of career decisions in the long run. People perform the best in their talented and interested field, but which fields or what jobs suits them the best must based on their own experience, while others like parents and teachers are impossible to get to know. Thus only self-experience from different jobs could support the best suitable career decision.

Also different job experience prepares young people to be a mature coworker. The formal experience enables them to be familiar with the rights and duties of coworkers, supervisors and subordinates. Besides, working in different companies or positions stimulate young people to revaluate their work performance, corporation ability and even themselves from different perspective, which enhancing their understanding about life and work. Thus as soon as they begin to pursue their dreaming career, they would perform well to improve the productivity in their work place.

Additionally, like new born babies are curious about everything around, young people are always want to try different jobs when they first step in to the working world, which stems from human nature. Quick decision of a life-long career leaves them no time to consider about other job opportunities, which leads to confusing in their mind. They may can’t help wondering would I be happier if I take the other job, which results in the distraction in their current work. Otherwise, when their career decision is after thoughtful consideration according to their self-experience through formally various jobs, they would be delicate clerks.

In sum, I strongly concede that young people should take different jobs before a long career, which offer them significant guidelines to their career decision and prepare them to be a mature worker. And only if the chosen career is based on their self-experience and talents after thoughtful considerations, they would devote into their jobs without hesitate.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A job with more vacation time is better than a job with high salary but less vacation time.

Some people prefer to take a job with more vacation to have more free time engaging in other things they interested, despite of less financial awards; while others contend that the job with high salary will enhance their living standards and contribute the comfort of their lives. As I see it, lower salary job with more free time is a wiser choice, which leaves spare time for people to experience the true life which the high salary job cannot afford.

On one hand, life is about experience. There is an old theory revealing that every person was born to be a blank plate, experience make them who they are. Moreover, different experiences help people to think about their life and themselves from diverse perspectives, which promote them to be thoughtful person and have their own interpretation about life and daily things. Otherwise, clinging to work day by day results in a boring life cycle, which lead to people’s negative attitude about their current situation. Furthermore, memory that those experience bring about is the true treasure because they constitute our lives, while money from high salary jobs is merely temporary property.

On the other hand, high salary cannot bring people comfort life as it supposed to be. High pressure and endless working hours are the cost of the job with lucrative financial awards with less vacation time, which definitely damage to people’s health, especially when they can’t have rest for a long time. Some deem that ultimately as they retire from this kind of busy work, things will change in which the money they accumulate will afford them a fairly comfort and relaxing life and enable them to enjoy the so-called true life. Unfortunately, at that point the disease results from their lack of rest, ignorance of health and busy working all life long will consume their savings. Even if they can easily handle the expense, with the pain and inconvenience accompanied to the disease they wouldn’t be able to enjoy their life as others.

In sum, high salary jobs with less vacation time for relax and releasing prevent people from experience their true life all life long, while I think diverse experience is essentially what the life is about. Thus, the choice of the job with more vacation time despite its lower salary is preferable.

teacher shuld or not talking their social or political views to student in the class.

Should teacher take their own social or political viewpoints to students in the class? This statement raises various issues about morality, ethic, responsibility and attitude. On balance, however, I agree with the notion that social and political views are too personal to advocate in class, which occupies class time that is supposed to spend on teaching and prevents student to establish their own opinion about the world.

To begin with, what teacher should teach and talk about is the facts, figures, and rules that the textbook contains or relative to the textbooks, but not personal ideas. As the pace of life accelerating, education has attracted more and more attention. Thus, class time becomes rather precious because of the additional pressure students received nowadays to improve their study. Teacher, therefore, as an important role in students study, shouldn’t waste time on advocating their own opinions that has little to do with students study.

Moreover, those opinions are all likely to be personal idea that is probably lead to negative impact on personal interpretation about the world, especially when students are all in the process of establishing their own value system and beliefs. It is teachers’ basic responsibility to help students understand the fundamental principle of living and develop their own but also right value system, which is essentially to be a mature adult. Meanwhile, teachers’ advices and opinions are profound to students because teachers’ words are always their guidelines, which would be taken in to their own value system for their whole life that won’t be easily changed. So instilling a incorrect belief results to serious impact on students, which teachers should and must take into consideration. And to establish a healthy value system for society and polity, students should absorb different opinions from different perspectives through newspapers, television, lectures and so on, which contribute to forming their own interpretation about the world they live in. And this is basically what teacher is responsible and should encourage students to do.

In sum, I strongly disagree that teacher should talk about their political and social viewpoints in the class. What teachers should do instead is take advantage of the class time as efficiently as possible and encourage student to establish their own opinion about the world through their observation and inpterpretation.

As the fierce competition in the working world accelerates nowadays, education which prepares students for their career has attracted more and more public attention. Some people suggest that increasing teachers’ salaries will be an effective measure to improve the quality of their education. But I strongly disagree with this notion for the reason that trying to improve students’ study is the basic duty of teacher which should not be encouraged by financial rewards.

To begin with, teachers’ responsibility essentially lies in helping students improve their study regardless of how much their salary is. And in fact, there are some admirable teachers who devote to their career with love and sense of responsibility, but not with money. Take my personal experience for example. I was a volunteer of a small primary school in remote areas, which hardly afford for it basic expenses with inadequate staffs and facilities. But teachers there, mostly were honored as excellent teachers before retirement in my city, are enthusiasm in their current jobs with those endearing children even with low or sometime no salaries. All the volunteers including me were touched by their devotion to their career.

Besides, increasing salaries, in turn, might result in negative impact. Now there is positive competition among teachers for excellent performance or enhanced quality of teaching, probably accompanied with more financial awards. Thus, every teacher work hard which ensures that students could receive the best education teachers are able to offer. However, as salary increases, teachers will get used to a satisfied salary without competition and hard work, which create a negative atmosphere so that few of them would fight for progress of their work, leading to the decline of education quality towards students. The best way to recover and even enhance the sense of competition among teachers is not an overall salary increasing, instead, is to set appropriate awards to encourage teachers keep pace with others who make progress in their work.

In sum, overall increasing of the salary of teachers is not a good way to improve the quality of education because devoted teachers always concentrate on their career no matter whether
their financial awards is lucrative or not; and high salary might result in the decline of education quality because teachers are satisfied to their salary without hard working. Thus, setting awards for those who make progress is effective to enhance the competition among teachers and leads to education quality improvement.

Thus, some people assert that people today are not able to easily access to success as it is in the past. However, as I see it, it is more possible to success today because of the extended supply of jobs opportunities and higher and more specific education people receive.

To begin with, new technology has not only explored larger and various field for human study and work, but also created additional needs of people with the enhancing living standard, which leads to countless job opportunities for people nowadays. Consider, people once focused on steel production to develop the nation’s industry, while today the industry has extended to many other fields such alloy and other metal that are applied in daily life products and vehicles. Then expended fields in industry definitely afford much more jobs. Beside, on the intranet, as the most popular, convenience and also effective means for communication, large amount of people open their own business online as a lucrative way to earn their living. On the other hand, modern technology enables the improving living standards and there are more needs for a better life. Various kinds of jobs, therefore, are created such as to respond the public attention to animals health, pet hospital establish to offer professional treatment for dogs and cats.

Moreover, higher quality of education also enable people to be equipped with more knowledge or specific skills. Thousands of universities and technical colleges have been established to public with lower tuition fee, which provides almost all the specific knowledge and professional advices to all fields of study which play an important role to prepare students to be a successful working adult. Also many of them have connected with corporations and companies to offer students precious chances to access to real working work, which benefit to their practical knowledge of the area they study in. With the help of those study and experience, people are much more likely to perform well in the work place, which lead to their future success.

In sum, I disagree with the notion that people are easier to success in the past because today there are much more job opportunities and people are well equipped for their future career.

Nowadays, as an essential part of technology advances and human civilization, education has attracted more and more attention and how teachers should perform in class also become one of the hottest controversies. Some people believe that being strict to students is always the most efficient way to improve students’ study, while others claims that today teachers should play a role as an easygoing friend. As I see it, although formal teacher always give people an impression of strict, it is indeed the best way for efficiency.

To begin with, teacher should play as an admirable model of students that takes cautious and serious attitude on study. Consider, although a humor and easygoing teacher can successfully make an active atmosphere in class which indeed encourages students to participate in class interaction, students might simply think the teacher is intriguing, but not the class or the study. Moreover, by instilling excessively positive attitude towards study, students won’t take study as a serious thing and probably change their viewpoint on study to be as a relaxing learner rather than a hard working person. On the contrary, a strict teacher is always reminding students of keeping correct and serious attitude towards study.

Besides, encourage from strict teacher is much more effective which inspire student to work harder. For example, we were forced to recite lessons in textbook by our primary school English teacher, an extreme strict teacher hardly smile in class. After I recited all lessons and realized my English was indeed improved in some degree, she told me that I did great job, which really encourage me to work harder. Praise from a such strict teacher is a significant and marked ratify and confirmation which fairly improve their efforts and energy cost on study and give them a
great sense of achievement, and more importantly, effectively inspire students’ further enthusiasm in study.

In sum, although being strict to student seems to be a antiquate way in teaching, it still very effective, rather than a humorous way for a easygoing teacher. Because strict teacher is the best model of establishing the correct attitude on study; besides, students will take the praise from strict teacher more preciously which encourage them work harder.
