  I agree with the speaker's claim that technologies have made a big influence on our social customs and ethics. Nevertheless, one can never exaggerate the impact of technologies on social customs and ethics, especially when it comes to the determinant of society. Otherwise, we may risk undermining the philosophical and historical underpinning of any traditional society.

  one reason for my agreement with the speaker's assertion is that the updating technologies have radically changed the way people spend their leisure time ,
We used to go shopping, do some reading, or go for a walk after meal in the past, Nowadays ,people ,especially the youth, prefer to do shopping on the internet, such as Amazon or eBay rather than go to supermarket. They would like to download the music from the iTunes other than go to the concert. Students like to sit in front of a computer to find out an essay which he or she need ,rather than go to library .These great changes are attributed to the rapid development of internet and personal computer technologies. In my point, it is efficient and effective for people to gat accustomed to these changes since them bring convenience to people's life. Accordingly, certain negative effects have come out at same time. For intense, a intense debate about the totally freedom on the internet cause a big challenge to the ethic and moral obligation. If it was passed, unduing freedom may be used by opponents to threaten our society, If it was forbidden, there is no so called "free" in any place. Countless examples have illustrate that the technology have made impact on our social ethic and moral.

However, a social customs and ethics must establish for a long time, It is its own reason to exist which have been proved recurrent, After all, customs and ethics are part of human culture, which can not be determined by a sort of technology. For instance, cloning is a rapid development technology in biology and medical science. Put one nucleus into another cell, then it can turn out to be a creature the same as the former. This technology can be applied to cure many diseases. However, it is
forbidden by the government because of causing the humanity conflict in moral and ethic.
In my view, we may risk undermining the philosophical and underpinning
of our society if these technology determine our social customs and ethics.


It is also through the natural environment such as climate and geologic conditions that determine our social customs and ethics. Different districts with a various of natural environment cultivate social customs and ethics diverse from eath other. British people may gentle while French people may romantic. These factors also determine our social customs and ethics.

In sum, there is on easy solution to such a complex issue.
I agree that rapid technology development have change the social customs and ethics. Nevertheless, technology would not to
be the significant role to determine our society. We should make the best use of technologies while reducing the negative effects .
