关于姑娘对Rey Chow的回应,我有点没听明白为什么鲁迅的视觉媒介应该是电影而非幻灯。我并不认为Rey Chow的论点在于modern visuality是写作无法模仿的。幻灯是凝固的visuality,它将观者与被观者的视觉身份无限放大,在幻灯播放中,中国人成了永恒的被观者,而日本人成了永恒的观者;被观者的interiority被visual violence爆破,如此产生的power relationship让鲁迅非常恐慌。而这样的效果写作确实可以模仿(但始终无法在力量上抗衡),事实上鲁迅正是(无意识的)在写作中模仿了这样的现代新视觉,所以他的小说都是一幕幕“snapshots” that carry the trauma and influence of the new visuality (Chow, 15). 这和20世纪初那批欧洲画家很像,比如毕加索、马蒂斯等等,他们想要以先锋艺术回避现代性,但却在绘画技法中无可避免的绽露现代性的痕迹。
