The lecture mainly casts doubt on the assumption that dinosaurs are endotherms. The lecturer rejects every theories listed in the passage.

At first, with regard to the Polar Dinosaurs Theory, the speaker argues that the temperature was much warmer in the past than present in polar regions, indicating that the dinosaur could survive in this areas,even though they could not keep a stable temperature like endotherms. Even durning the cold winter, dinosaurs could migrate to some warmer place or dormancy like other nonendothermal animals . Therefore, the theory in the reading material is groundless.

Moreover, the second inconsistency between the lecture and the passage lies in the major purpose of  the leg position and movement. The lecturer claims that the leg  lie just underneath the body in order to support the weight of dinosaurs in such a big size. In contrast, the reading material consider the leg position is responsible for the running ability of the dinosaur.

Finally, according to the reading material,the existence of the bone,Haversian canals, serves as the strong evidence to the final conclusion. However, the speaker reject this theory by listing another convincing evidence. The growth rings in dinosaurs' bones shows that the development of bone  varies in different time period, which is in contrast with the feature of the endotherm,whose bone grow at the constant speed, even in the cold winter.

Above all, the speaker challenges all the theories in the passage and rejects the assumption that the dinosaur is a kind of endotherms.
