As we can see, science and technology have dramatically changed our lives quality, and it is undoubtedly that in a past few years life quality has improved beyond our expectation. Some people hold the opinion that the most significant improvement for the quality of people's lives have already taken place, on the contrary, I do not support this viewpoint and insist that the most significant improvement for the quality of our lives will occur in some future days that we all are not capable of making sure because of uncertainty of future.

First and foremost, future life cannot be predicted easily and maybe it do not develop at all as we all think, so the definition that the most significant improvement for the quality of life have taken place is too naive. For example, 30 years ago we did not can imagine that computers are so common that they are utilized by every family, and at that time, a predictor, who is famous for prediction, described that computers will mainly be used by companies or governments. But to our surprised, the fact is not as his prediction. So it is unscientific to define the improvement of life quality, not alone it cannot improve as significant as that of today.

In addition, with the fast development of science and technology, I believe that there will be the most surprising change in the future, so the most significant improvement for the quality of life will happen. As we can see, science and technology which are progressing continue to improve, and the convenience and health of life style that science and technology bring to us are inevitable, which can alter our life quality in essence.

What is more, we also should acknowledged that our life quality improved most rapidly, and it is unbelievable for most of us, so maybe the illusion that life quality cannot improve as significant as those days will occurs, it is an understandable thinking, but the most important point that we should insist is that life quality will be better and better due to the development of science and technology.

In summary, from what have been analyzed above, we can easily reach an conclusion that not only the future life is unpredicted, but also it develops beyond our imagination, so I do not agree that the most significant improvement for the quality of people's lives have already taken place.

It is impossible that the most important problems in today's world can be solved in our lifetime, because we are in a world that is full of various problems and most of them are beyond our capability.

First and foremost, we take medical research as an example, it is acknowledged that a lot of diseases, such as phthisis, smallpox and some flus which all were incurable several decades ago, can be easily cured today. But we should be too optimistic to realize that there are also enormous diseases that cannot be cured. Doubtlessly, scientists are devoting themselves to finding an effective method to solve these diseases, such as cancers and Aids. But due to the limitation of technology and deficiency of medical experience, no progress is made in these fields. Every year an expanding number of people die of cancer, which makes us grieved. In a word, there are some high medical mountains we cannot overcome until today which needs several generations' struggle.

In addition, let us go back to environmental problems, it is obvious that our planet is seriously polluted because of industrialization. Atmospheric temperature is more and more warm due to the excessive discharge of carbon dioxide, leading to the rise of sea level, and the area of drought and desertization is expanding every year because of the disafforestation. Although many environmental summit meetings are held every month, nations cannot reach an agreement in order to maximize respective benefit, so we hardly take effective action to protect our planet, in this way, the pollution will go on, the problem will still exist, so it is impossible to solve world problems in our life.

Besides what have been listed above, there are still various problems we do not solved or we are incapable of solve at all. For example, radical and religious differences are challenges that lead to war between nations, and most of all humans are consider themselves in the first place which stand on the way of reaching harmony. The similar phenomenons are too enormous to list one by one, so it is difficult for us to deal with all of this issue in the next several decades.

In summary, solving all of the most important problems in or lifetime is an impossible dream due to the a variety of reasons, although we all are struggle to deal with.

2.26 what kind of university do you prefer, a university whose graduates can find a good jobs or a university where there are famous professors.

When it comes to the issue that what kind of university we should choose, a university whose graduates can find a good jobs or a university where there are many famous professors? Different students will make various decisions. In my opinion, I would rather select a university that can support me to apply for a good job. There are several reasons I would like to say.

First and foremost, as we can see, especially in China, it is more and more difficult for university graduates to find a job, not alone a good job that can provide decent salary and high social status. The authoritative data from educational statistics department indicates that only 78 percent of Chinese graduates can find a long-term job, which is much less than that in many other countries. So it is wise for me, a Chinese student, to select a university that can help me find a good job.

In addition, a Chinese couple spends much more money on their daily expenses due to the expensive price of commodities. A survey shows that it will take more than 15 years for a Chinese couple to purchase a private villa, while for an European couple, it just needs 5 years. Besides the expensive price of commodities, One-Child-Policy which purpose is limiting the increase of Chinese population makes Chinese younger generation spend more expenditure on families, because they should support more elders.  Doubtlessly, a good job with decent salary is significant for a Chinese couple, thus I would like to choose a university that can support me look for a good job.

What is more, admittedly, it is undeniable that famous professors can help students achieve more in academic field, they will provide students a thoughtful thinking, innovative ideas and extensive information, which common professors cannot catch. But as for me, I am not interested in the academic research at all, and making contribution to the development of science and technology is not my pursuit. The purpose of my attending to university is finding a job to raise my families, probably you may consider my dream is common and wordly, but it is actually what I want, so I would choose a university whose graduates can find good jobs.

In summary, from what have been analysed above, I prefer a university that can support me to apply for a job rather than a university where there are many famous professors.

2.27  It is more enjoyable to buy a new technological device when it becomes available than to wait until many people have owned it.

As we can see, with the development of science and technology, technological devices are updating faster and faster, it only takes several months for a new edition of products to be launched at market. As to this phenomenon, some people believe that it is more enjoyable to buy a latest device, on the contrary, I do not agree with this statement. There are several reasons as follows.

First and foremost, it is not sensible to buy a technological device when it begins to be available, because it is much too expensive. The purpose of a company is maximizing the profits, thus when it begins to launch a new product, doubtlessly, the price of which is more than 3 times of which is popular to everyone. As for me, a common student, who do not have too much money to afford expensive price, will buy these products when many people can have them. So it is more enjoyable to buy a new technological device when the price is not so high that most of people can afford.

In addition, it is undeniable that using a new product need to take a high risk whether the product is suitable to use. Usually, we buy a new device that is not as perfect as advisement describes. For example, my mother bought a new edition of washer that can dry the residual water illustrated by the manufacturers, in fact, it is just a common washer as the former one. So we should wait to the time when many people have owned it, thus the qualities and functions can be guaranteed, it is more enjoyable for us to  buy a new products without any worries.

Admittedly, there is no doubt that it is very exciting and cheerful when other people watch you playing with a new technological device. As psychologist analyses, it is the vanity that makes you feel pleased, which is not good for our development of mental health, so we should overcome our desire to buy a new technological device.

In summary, from what have been described above, buying a new technological device not only cost us more money, but also we need to take risks at the same time, so I support that it is more enjoyable to buy a new technology device until many people have owned it, instead of buying it when it becomes available.

With the fast development of civilization, there is no doubt that more and more attention should be paid on the education. But how can we improve a school's quality, hiring famous teachers or increasing expenditure of facilities? As far as I am concerned, improving facilities is of significance, there are reasons as follows.

First and foremost, as we can see, facilities, such as library, computers labs and experiment labs, are the main and indispensable elements of a school, so it is undisputed that they have a high relationship to the quality of a school. Assume a school where there are only several hundred books in the library, and computers lab is closed because of the damage of computers, students there are not capable of looking for information and obtain knowledge from the extensive books and website, how students there can achieve more in their study? Doubtlessly, students there cannot catch up with the students who have a lot of accesses to acquire information and knowledge, so schools should pay a lot of attention to the facilities.

In addition, it is undeniable that facilities also can improve a school reputation that makes contribution to the attraction of excellent students. For example, many students are willing to study in a school where there is large swimming pool and advanced stadium. More excellent students in one school can set good examples to other students who do not like study, thus the bad students could pay more attention to the study and the quality of education also can be improved gradually.

Admittedly, famous teachers also play an important role in the development of education, the more knowledgeable teachers are, the more assistance they will bring to students. But one key point is that teachers cannot be easily understood without the help of advanced facilities when they are teaching a difficult theory. Even though a teacher is outstanding, it is meaningless that he cannot teach students well. In this way, it is definitely correct that schools should spend much more money on the facilities.

In summary, from what have been analyzed above, it is undisputed that facilities play a significant role in a school, so I do not agree that schools should spend more money on famous teachers than facilities, in order to improve the quality of schools.

2.29  Agree or disagree: people should know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely have some influence on our daily life.

In this colorful world, various and complex events are taking place every minutes, which make us feel lost in the information explosion era, thus some people believes that we should not pay much attention to these events which have no influence on our daily life. On the contrary, as far as I am concerned, I agree with that people should know the events happening around the world.

First and foremost, It is hard  for us to identify which information are beneficial to our development, so we should pay attention to extensive events to acquire what we really need. For example, as we all know, the chance that someone is bitten by a snake is much small in the modern cities, in this way, it is meaningless for us to learn how to protect ourselves from animals attack. But this incident occur, a six-year old girl was bitten by a poisonous snake that escaped from an animal research center. Thanks to his father who learnt the method of solving this problem from the news by accident, the girl was safe. Imagine that if girl's father did not know pay attention to the events, he would not know how to secure his daughter, therefore terrible thing may happened. So we should know events that happen around us even it is unrelated to us.

In addition, knowing the events is a process of accumulating the knowledge, which is significant to one's development. If one wants to be knowledgeable, it is impossible if he only cares for something that is related to him. Events happening in the world can enlarge our experience, make one's mind alert and improve our understanding of the world, which all play important role in one's life.

Admittedly, it may waste our some time when we learn events, but it is valuable. As the famous theory butterfly effect goes, any tiny change can affect our life, so it is absolutely false that events happening around us have no influence on us. In my opinion, they all have close relationship with our daily life, so it is necessary for us to know the events.

In summary, knowing the events is essential for one's development, so I agree with the statement that people should know the events happening around the world, even if it unlikely have some influence on our daily life.

3.1 what kind of friends would you like to make, someone whom you can have fun with or someone who can help you when you need him?

As we all know, it is undeniable that friends are playing an important role in our way to success, they will help us achieve more. But in the reality, different people may choose various persons as their friend, as far as I am concerned, I would prefer to someone whom I can have fun with rather than someone who can help me when I need him.

First and foremost, friends who are humorous will release the atmosphere, which make us more pleased when staying with them. It is difficult for me to live with serious person because I always feel unhappy when communicating with them. Assume a scene, we are all preparing for an important project which line time is tomorrow, if everyone you cooperate with cannot stand any jokes, the atmosphere will still be tense and we all will be more nervous. On the contrary, if we can talk and have fun with someone, the result will be opposite, we all are in good moods, therefore, the efficiency will be improved. So I like to make friends with someone whom we can have fun with.

In addition, I like to play jokes with others, especially have fun with familiar friends. Two years ago, I just put a pet snake in my best friend's bag, which ended our friendship, I felt so sad. If my friends all cannot stand with my jokes, doubtlessly, I will lose all of them. It is frightening for one have no friends. So while choosing friends, I will select someone who can have fun with me.

Admittedly, as old sayings goes, a true friend indeed is a friend in need, it is significant for someone that there are some friends readily giving him hands when he has difficulty. But as to my humorous personality, if someone has nothing in common with me, our friendship cannot maintain three weeks. It is fact that a friend is not capable to try his best to help you when you know each other only for several weeks. In order to find a forever friendship, I prefer to choose someone who has a lot in common with me, thus we all can have fun with each other.

In summary, from what have been discussed above, we can easily reach the solution that it is absolutely important for me to find a friend whom I can play fun with, so this is the prerequisite of my choosing friends.
