题目:In order to be financially responsible, children should learn to manage their own money at young age.
We always heard about some complaint from our friends, colleagues and neighbors that they have children who have grown up but show nothing related with responsibility on money. It surely is a headache, and they strongly recommended you to educate the child from an age and even let them manage their own money for practice. However, putting young children into money managing directly at young age can have opposite effect.
Firstly, young children are short of some vital capabilities to manage their money so that they cannot gain responsibilities via practicing it during childhood. They are still too young to have some experiences and obtain basic skills relative with money. In order to attain the responsibilities for money spending, some basic knowledge and perception of what money is and how it matters is required. Otherwise it is probably that they failed in managing money on their own. Besides, the younger are still on their behavioral and emotional developing periods, their controlling and regulating capability is beyond mature. As a consequence, not only would their financial responsibilities been broken down, but also the confidence and enthusiastic of independently managing something would be damaged. In their heart will probably form a negative self-identity like I can't do things right. This would do harm to the found of financial responsibility in the future.
Secondly, let the younger take charge of their own money might increase some potential risks. The fundamental reason of this occurrence is the same as being frustrate by failure experience, young children are lack the judgment of in what way the money being spent is the valuable way. And they are also not equipped with the feature of self-discipline. Thus, some temptation, like cigarettes, alcohol and so on, is no doubt unresisted for such young children. They may fall into traps of problem conduct, not mention to establish their responsibilities.
In addition, learn to manage money at young age is not the most significant and the only approach to culture children's monetary responsibilities. There are some commonly accepted researches showing that the financial environment and managing habit of the family are the most crucial impactor on children's behavior. As a result, they can learn to take responsibilities in an indirectly approach by observing how parents plan and make decision on money spending.
Considering these disadvantages to directly put young children into money affairs and possible alternative choice to learn to manage their own financial project, it might be appreciated not let young children managing money all by their own. But if parents can supervise and offer guides and advises to the younger, put the children into practice might do some favor on responsibility building.
