澳洲昆士兰科技大学(QUT)Yan Cheng副教授欲招收若干名有材料,机械,力学等工科研究背景的博士研究生,奖学金需申请中国CSC奖学金。
Yan Cheng副教授简介
闫博士是一位材料加工及材料力学行为表征的专家并对理解各种材料在不同尺度下的变形和破坏性作出了贡献。目前的研究活动包括功能纳米复合材料,纳米力学及生物材料的增韧机理。他已获得超过500万澳元的研究经费,包括2项澳大利亚研究理事会(ARC)研究员及9 项ARC研究项目。通过广泛的国际合作,闫博士对材料的结构与性能的关系及先进复合材料进行了研究。他的弹塑性断裂力学的实验和数值模拟工作对发展新的材料破坏准则及评价粘接接头的断裂韧性作出了显着的贡献。他曾是澳大利亚断裂委员会成员。作为召集人或共同主席,闫博士应邀组织了多个国际研讨会及学术会议。他应邀在多个国际学术会议及工业研讨会作特邀报告。他也是多个国际研究基金会的特邀评审人, 包括澳大利亚研究理事会 (ARC),葡萄牙科学技术基金会 (FCT) 和 卢森堡国家研究经费基金 (FNR)等。闫澄博士已发表超过200篇文章包括100国际期刊文章。许多论文发表在重要的专业期刊,如International Journal of Fracture, Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Carbon, Metallurgical Transactions, Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Nanotechnology, Applied Physics Letters, etc.

研究方向
本研究小组主要从实验(experiment)和数值模拟(numerical simulation)两个方面研究新材料的基本性能表征(机械,热力学,电学性能),以及实际应用中的极端性能表现(如损伤,破坏,失效等过程),具体方向如下:
1. Nanomaterials for renewable energy (TiO2 for solar cell, H storage, etc);
2. Structural and functional nanocomposites (particle, carbon nanotube and graphene-polymer nanocomposites);
3. Biomaterials for tissue engineering (scaffold);
4. Utilization of environmental hazard materials (red mud, fly ash);
5. Nanomechanics and materials characterization/simulation at micro and nanoscales;
6. Mechanical behavior of advanced fiber composites, and adhesive and welded joints;
7. Fracture and fatigue of various materials (steel, light alloys, metallic glass, polymer, ceramic);
8. Strength and toughness in biomaterials.
