The School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, UK has an open fully funded PhD position in the area of Information Retrieval to start on October 2018.  
You will be supervised by Dr. Ke Zhou (https://sites.google.com/site/keadamzhou/).

The scholarship covers the tuition fee and full living stipend.
The position is open to UK, EU and international students.

*Topics*: information retrieval, user modeling, evaluation, machine learning, data/text mining.

*Requirements*:
- Candidates must have a good Masters Degree (or a BSc Degree with excellent records) in Computer Science or related subjects.
- Candidates must be confident in some of these areas: information retrieval, machine learning, statistics, have excellent programming skills, be fluent in English and possess good communication skills.
- Previous experience in research and a track record of publications is preferable.

*Start date*: 01/10/2018 (negotiable)
*Duration*: 3+1 years
