回复 #225 woodman 的帖子

谢谢woodman,这句确实是:
fuzzy(毛绒绒的,不是fussy爱挑剔的) fliers for pollination(应该是这个,授粉,不是Polynesian波西尼亚人).

才知道为什么自己听抄过后,却不能理解这句话的意思呢,原来把pollination 听成Polynesian,太可笑了:loveliness: ,哈哈。还多谢woodman及时指出:handshake

不过dubbed那句怎么解释呢?

Most of the universe’s stuff was apparently dark matter invisible material pervading the universe and supply the bulk of gravitational attraction holding galaxy clusters together. The matter contain in the visible stuff in the cluster just isn’t enough to keep the cluster flying apart. Now comes to one of strongest pieces of evidence for dark matter. The Hubble space telescope has found was looks like a ghostly ring. The remnant of a massive collision between two galaxy clusters sometimes last to 2 billion years. The ring is about 2.6 million light-years across, lies of about 5 billion light-years from earth. A John Hopkins research team notices the ring. They can’t directly see it of course. But they infer its existence because its gravity bends the light more distant galaxy in the background. One researcher was initially annoyed with the ring because it sued some kind of problem or error. A literature search though turn out the evidence of collision between galactic clusters near the ring. And computer simulations show that the dark matter ring wouldn’t the result like the ripple on the pond.

forerunner的修改
Most of the universe’s(universe) stuff was(is)apparently dark matter in visible material pervading the universe and supply(supplying) the bulk of the gravitational attractionholding galaxy clusters together. The matter containedin the visible stuff(stars) in thecluster just isn’t enough to keep the clusters flying apart. Now comes (去掉to) one of (the) strongest pieces of evidence for dark matter. The Hubblespace telescope has found what looks like a ghostly ring, the remnant ofmassive collision between two galaxy clusters sometimeslast to (sometime in the last) two billion years. The ring is about 2.6million light years across (and) lies about 5 billion light years from earth. A John Hopkinsresearch team notices the ring. They can’t directly see it of course, but theyinfer its existence because its gravity bends the light of more distant galaxyin the background. One researcher was initially annoyed with the ring because it sued (he assumed) some kind of problem or error. Aliterature search though turned out the evidences (evidence) of the collision between galacticclusters near the ring and computer simulation showed that the dark matter ringwould indeed result like the ripples on the pond.

Enzyme Points Way to Pacemaker Drug

A heart beats 3 billions times in an average life span and sometimes those beats raise, like running into a grizzly bear, or climbing stairs, or falling in love, such moments can more than double the average heart rate of170 beats per minute, speed it up to 260 beats. And we feel it, pulpation(n.成髓,髓化), diseases, breathless. Scientists have a good idea what causes raising heart and increasing the general incentive signal cells located at the operate chamber. The cell then sets off dominos that affects the speeds of muscle contractions which the scientists don’t understand though is what makes the heart beats slow back down. But the team in the University of Illinois Chicago city finds a promising clue if isolated enzyme caught p21 activated kineids or pack 1 that affects channels inside of pacemakers shell. The scientist showed that by turning on pack 1, they can reduce the channel activity and slow down the heart. They are now working on finding a drug treatment that control science enyzme. Hope this medicine might take place the artificial pacemakers. Be still my beating heart.

Searching For What's Behind the Bee Decline

You’ve probably heard the world honey bees have suffered from stinging losses lately that’s a big story for us too. Up to 12 billion dollars in crops rely on the fuzzy flyers for pollination, of the 2.4 million bee colonies in US about 1 million died off this past winter, big declines are also be seen in Europe and Asia. The die-off has been doubled by the colony collapse disorder and vanishing bee syndromes. A couple of species of mites that attach bees were responsible for similar die-offs in the winter of 95, 96, and 2000, 2001 and the mites maybe partly be to blame because recent bee loss but a quarter of current seems carnages unrelated to mites and other pests, other suggested causes of being declining include genetically modified foods, parasites, pesticides, cell phone radiation. But a bee scientist expert Necolas Corom(人名) in Cornell University said last week that definitive cause remains illusive. He would spend this summer investigating honeybee colonies throughout southeast trying to solve the cases of dead bees, and here is open the buzzes with the answer.
