听晚了:( May 16

Most of the universe’s(似乎forerunner是对的) stuff was(is) apparently dark matter in visible(invisible) material pervading the universe and supply(supplying) the bulk of the gravitational attraction holding galaxy clusters together. The matter contained in the visible stuff(stars) in the cluster just isn’t enough to keep the clusters (加from)flying apart. Now comes (去掉to) one of (the) strongest pieces of evidence for dark matter. The Hubble space telescope has found what looks like a ghostly ring, the remnant of massive collision between two galaxy clusters sometimes last to (sometime in the last) two billion years. The ring is about 2.6 million light years across (and) lies about 5 billion light years from earth. A John Hopkin’s research team notices(noticed) the ring. They can’t directly see it of course, but they inferits existence because its gravity bends the light of more distant galaxy in the background. One researcher was initially annoyed with thering because it sued (he assumed 似乎这个地方有 it was听不出来。汗) some kind of problem or error. A literature search though turned out the evidences (evidence)of the collision between galactic clusters near the ring and computer simulation showed that the dark matter ring would indeed(没听出来……) result like the ripples on the pond(这处好像不是这个词,不过自己也没有听出来好像是pond.

May 17:loveliness:

You don’t hear a lot of positive news about herpes(强啊。这个词谁听出来的?), but a new study in the May 17th issue of the journal of(delete of) nature shows that in some cases a herpes virus infection might actually be really good for you. Individual mice with chronic herpes virus infections were better able to ward off (自己没有听出来,赞woodman偶也赞woodman^^)some deadly bacteria including the one that causes plague(学习了) and another that causes food poisoning. Now there are many kinds of herpes viruses not just general herpes. Other viruses include chicken pox, cytomegalo virus,Epstein-Barr and some less known(好像是lesser known,我听的也是lesser)viruses that actually permanently infect(谢谢forerunner指正,)most humans without ever producing any significant symptoms. There(The) searchers think that the key is the constant presence of latent(学习了) herpes virus infection in which the viruses always present but is not really causing problems most of the time. Nevertheless the immune system reacts to the virus and somehow more able to take on the(any)additional threats. Some herpes virus infections are certainly major(谢谢forerunner指正) problems but new finding shows that we still have much to learn about the impacts of the other life forms that we carry.

May 18

Break out the binoculars and telescopes on Saturday, May 19th because it's the first International Sidewalk Astronomy Night. Sidewalk Astronomers was founded in San Francisco in 1968 when a lot of people (were) seeing stars and not just at night. The group’s goal is to expose more people to the beauty and wander (of celestial) objects with good viewing equipment and provide information about what the eyewitness are actually looking at. The most frequently viewed objects are the Moon, Jupiter whose major moon are visible with good binoculars and Saturn. I once trained the cheap telescope on Saturn and some friends were so amazed at the side of the rings, they seriously looked the other end of the scope to see if had (darkled) it somehow. Sidewalk Astronomy Night is indeed an international event with dozens of public viewing sites from Beijing to the corner of 81st street in Centre Park western Manhattan. For more information and find a site near you just go to sidewalkastronomynight.com and if there is no organized site near you feel free to go outside look at the stars anyway.

May 18

Recall Binocular and telescope on Saturday May 19, because it is the first International Sidewalk-Astronomer night. Sidewalk-Astronomer was found in San Francisco in 1968, where a lot people were seeing stars, not just the night. The group’s goal is to expose more people to the beauty and the wonder, so that is the subject of good view equipment, and to provide information about what I was then actually looking at. The most frequently observed subjects are moon, Jupiter, whose major moon is visible with good binoculars, and Saturn. I went to trend chief telescope onto the Saturn. And some friends were so amazed at Saturn’s ring. They seriously looked at other end of the scope to see if they had doubted somehow. Sidewalk astronomer night is indeed an international event. With dozen of public viewing sites from Beijing to the corner of maybe first street of central part western Manhattan. For more information and find site near you, just go to www.sidewalkastronomernight.com. And if there is no organized site near you, feel free to go out side for star is anywhere.
