Congratulations on your acceptance to Boston University School of Public Health.  As Officer of Admissions at BUSPH, I would like to offer you my personal assistance as you consider your options for the fall term.  I am happy to assist you in making connections with faculty members who share your research interests, sitting in on courses, visiting the School of Public Health, and learning more about what it means to become a student at Boston University.  I am excited to help you explore your options within Boston University as you begin this new academic endeavor and important step in actualizing your professional goals as a public health professional.
This newsletter will be the first in a series of correspondence you will be receiving over the next several weeks that will introduce you to life at BUSPH, topics will include Student Services, Research, Career Services, Academics, and Public Health Practice.  The Office of Admission hopes that this will provide you with a strong understanding of the commitment Boston University has to its public health students and community.
In your acceptance package, you will have received some information regarding our upcoming Accepted Students' Days.  They will be held on three dates this spring:
                        Friday, February 22nd from 10am - 4pm
                        Friday, March 28th from 10am - 4pm
                        Friday, April 25th from 10am - 4pm.

1月30号收到了这个AD，这几天比较忙没发帖...

然后发信问系里小米，说的是国内申请deadline还没有过（？），奖学金还没有开始评，要到3月才知道。

不知道结果怎样啊。大家看看呢。

刚才网上查状态查着玩儿，
居然发现了一个AD，有点小吃惊。
应该是AD吧，保底的学校，没有套磁过，感觉真是从天而降。

内容如下：
Congratulations! You have been accepted as a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell for 2008 Fall. An official letter of acceptance and information packet will be mailed to you within a few days.

年前总算有点好消息了。
（贪心的说 ，如果是offer就理想了。。。）
前几天才被rej了一下，今天总算是缓过一点气了。

明天年三十了，终于收到了wustl的offer

Hi: You have been admitted to our graduate program! You will be hearing from our Dean soon with tuition waived and a stipend provided. Congratulations.

效率还可以，1月15号deadline,没想到这么早就来offer了，没有面试。等知道多少钱了再跟大家报道呵
个人背景：小本非名校，物理专业，申的是wustl的地球与行星科学系。
                 overallGPA 83.35     majorGPA 88.75   paper一小篇发表至无名刊物               
                 GRE 1200+3（汗）  T 94  
                 陶瓷很重要，PS很重要，特别是PS与推荐信的遥相呼应和互补也很重要。
感言：
记得一年前的这个时候刚好决定出国留学，整整一年的时间，很充实的一年。我非名校出身，学校出国氛围不浓，无前人铺路，没上任何辅导班，我所有的获得，从开始接触红宝书，到考G考T，再到陶瓷、申请材料准备等等所有一切宏观和细节均来自寄托，我以自己最诚挚和朴实的感情感谢寄托！！同时也祝福大家在新一年里offer多多！！
一个问题：信件里stipend应该是拿助研或助教奖学金吧？是不是用这个词就意味着不是全奖了吧，我不是很了解请教一下大家哈。
