While I concede that the interests play a significant role in people's pursuing of their careers, the contribution should also be taken into consideration. I partly agree with the speaker for the reason that those interests should not only benefit the researcher themselves, but it also should benefit others.

Admittedly, the interests serve as the stimulation in pursuing of the career. Without interests just as the rocket without thrusts, hardly can the rocket reaches to a long distance. The same principle can be applied to the human beings. The interests stimulated from the inherent moods always facilitate you to strive for your goals. Once a famous said, the interest is the best teacher in your life. I think these words can perfectly interpret the function of the interests. Consider, for instance, you are a lack of interests and you are forced to do something without passion. How about the outcome of your behavior? In my observation, this attitude towards things which you are compelled to do is doomed to fail. Or consider the fact that you seek to do instead of being forced to do. In contrast, you feel happy when strive for the goal. You do it with your whole heart devoted and you think it desires to be done. Without doubt the result will be better. Accordingly, the interests drive us to finish your goals however hard the target may be.

While I concede that the interest facilitate you to succeed in our lives, it does not indicate that some unusual or idiosyncratic interests do have meaning. Imagine that some scientists are engaged in inventing one sort of weapons that can completely destroy the world. These interests are of no meaning to the majority of the people. It is true that these so-called interests undermine the earth can also be classified into one kind of the interests, however, these interests are anti-human ones which cannot be accepted by the world. According to the speaker should these scientists continue their interests so as to achieve their goals? From my point of view, these interests should be neglected, after all these behaviors are illegal ones which are permitted by the law. So to this extent, these malice and unusual interests should be forgotten for the reason that it hampers the development of the human beings.

On the contrary, consider these interests that are helpful in some aspects of quotidian lives. The Ford, the founder of the General Motors Corporation holds the belief that every American can afford a car. To fulfill this great interest or we can call it belief, he tried every measure to cut the cost of cars with good quality. He was driven by this interest and finally fights for this target all his life. Perhaps this goal cannot be achieved, but it makes a contribution to the society. Sometimes we should not be so selfish, after all the progress of the human beings should be supported by all people. According to my experience, those interests are relevant to facilitate the development of the society always make a contribution to the whole people. Accordingly, these interests are most valuable in the history.

In conclusion, the interest serves as the incentives that drive you to achieve your goals, and those interests that refer to prompt the development of the whole people are most meaningful.
