Nowadays, advertisements play an extremely significant role in societies. As the development and progress of various types of technologies, the mediums that advertisements attach to are constantly increasing. As a result, advertisements are more involved in residents’ daily life. Therefore, the statement which claims that from adverting can we learn more about a country does more and more make sense.
Primarily, advertisements will definitely indicate the citizens’ merits, values and attitudes of a specific country. From the products promoted, the methods used to advertise, we can obviously obverse what products are popular in this country, which medium the citizens prefer. As a case in China, the MacDonald wisely uses a set of advertising mediums including TV commercial, newspaper, magazines to promote its product, which explicitly expose the great importance of these mediums in Chinese’ life. What’ more, several traditional Chinese elements are added into MacDonald’s Big Max product by adjusting original ingredients and seasoning based on Chinese flavors so that the Big Max soon occupies a great percentage in MacDonald’s sales income.
Besides, the economic status of a country can also be seen through advertisements of this country. In general, developing countries tends to use simple, direct ways to promote products. On the contrary, the advertisements in developed countries always contain a series of distinct approach aiming at different consumer segments. One noticeable symbol is the participant of Internet, a powerful tool which easily differentiates different demands of specific segment. According to a recent survey, over 90 percents of Americans prefer online purchasing for it is personalized designed so that it provides better satisfaction to customers. However, the number of those who have same experience in developing countries, such as India, falls below 50 percents.
In conclusion, advertising in great degree benefits us to know more about a certain country. Inferred from the advertising, we can know what appeals people of this nation and which way is the best access to persuade them. Subsequently, their preferences, merits, values and attitudes emerge clearly in front of us. More importantly, the economic status of a nation directly reflects on the appearance of advertisements. Realizing how important advertising is, the market of this nation is more accessible for big firms which is making effort to explore a new market.

Living in an age of information explosion as the world changing rapidly, one could not even survive without the ability to learn new skills and knowledge both effectively and efficiently. Therefore, it is of great significance to know how to learn properly. In which way can we learn better? When it comes to this question, some people suggest that learning alone is beneficial to efficiency; however, others prefer learning in a group. In my point of view, it can not be simply concluded which preference is better, instead, what really decide your way to learn is the personalities one holds as well as what kind of skills or knowledge one is learning.
Subjectively, one should choose way of learning based on his or her personalities. The effectiveness of one learning style varies among individuals. For instance, for those who can control their behaviors well, it is suitable to learn by themselves since this way provide them with sufficient time and space to think independently. Moreover, it avoids the possibilities that being interrupted during their learning period. On the contrary, in the cases of those who are lazy and lack the ability to concentrate for a long time, it will be better to learn within a group, which enlightens them to come up with ideas through the way communicating with others. By this way, not only do they overcome the problem of laziness, but also successfully do they save time.
Objectively, the contents of knowledge or skills certainly matters which way we should take. For some specific subjects requiring teamwork or cooperation, such as business administration, human resource, social science, or law, learning in a group is no doubt a better way to obtain related knowledge and to acquire skills of communicating with others. On another hand, when studying the subjects which demand a relatively independent environment, for instance, art, writing, physics, mathematics, the perfect way is to learn by oneself for the reason that loneliness greatly calm one down, at the same time, inspires him or her to create and innovate.
Overall, whether learning alone or learning in a group is more likely a matter of what type of person one is and what kind of things one is learning. The way of learning ought to be adaptable to various surroundings and areas. Actually, people who succeed in achieving outstanding learning performance can not only depend on only one of the two ways. The best approach towards effectiveness and efficiency is probably the one which combine both of the two ways splendidly.
