2月22日 101030NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are now easier to become educated than in the past.

Perhaps no issue in this world is as significant to students as education. Girls in old days barely have the chance to accept education because of sex discrimination, and the poor has less likelihood to be educated because of lacking money. Nonetheless, with rapid development taking place in the economy and the culture, people no longer hold the stereotype and many policies have carried out to protect people’s right to obtain education. Therefore, many people claim that people are now easier to become educated than before. I strongly support this idea, the reasons are as follows.

With the advent of information era, people can receive education regardless of place they are living in. Internet provides us a platform, from which we can learn all most everything. Take me for an instance, I major in biology, but I also take interest in economics. Thus, Internet allows me to take economic courses in Harvard, and I really learn a lot in these courses. Furthermore, with the help of internet, together with the TV and mobile devices, I even create a pure English environment for myself to learn English in my home, which is beyond our parents’ widest dream. Hence hi-technology enables modern people to gain knowledge readily.

Many policies, established by government and school, allow more people to accept education not merely the wealthy people. For instance, the nine-year compulsory education policy allows people to get education for free for primary and junior high school. Also many scholarships, rewarded to students who do well in their course, can be used for students to get further development or to support their families. In addition more funds are given by the charity and wealthy people to construct school in rural areas where the education condition lagged considerably behind the urban area. Thus people have more chance to be educated.

Admittedly, with the boom of the population, more and more people want to pursue their dream by accepting higher education. Though it has reported that there are more than 9.33million students to attend the college entrance examination in 2011, the number of the students that can be enrolled in university is limited. People may be more difficult to further their study than before when there were much less people. However, as china continues its open-up policy, many American universities enrolled more Chinese students, people have the chance to study abroad and get more knowledge.

Advanced technology and policies allow modern people to be educated in an easier way. If anyone out there who still doubt that whether or not people are much easier to be educated, this essay will be my answer.

3月11日 110829NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: In some circumstances, patience is not a good thing and instead we should take action at once.

As people have been educated to be patient regardless of what situation they are facing, taking action at a moment is regarded as a behavior of rudeness and less consideration. Nonetheless, some people argue that in some occasions we should make decision right away confining to the limited time, because It may be too late to catch the opportunity if people take a long period of time pondering. Personally, I endorse the former issue, since only after a long period of time’s pondering can we make a right decision, and a less considered decision may lead to a bad result or even make mistakes that cannot be reverted.

I concede that people have to make up their mind quickly in some occasions. For example, just like the old says goes that chances are fleeting, if we do not catch it at the second we meet it, we may lose it. Nonetheless, there is also an idiom that the chance only favors well prepared person, and the process of making preparation is exactly the time that we are waiting for the chance. It requires long term endurance and secondly, it accompanies many other obstacles and difficulties. These are testing time and these are the time we need to persevere continuously and remain hopeful of the future. Hence we will finally gain the chance.

Getting to know everything clearly before making decision, people can make a correct decision. Take me for an example. When I was a freshman in university, I, same with all freshman, was curious about all the things around. Then the students’ union came to us for enrolling new members, and most of my classmates went to get an interview for almost all the departments without thinking. On the contrary, I searched the university website to know which department suited me most, after which I made a decision to go to the study department. A month later, almost all of my friends complained about how boring the department was and they did not like it at all, which is all due to lacking of previous thinking. But I enjoyed the time working for the study department.

Furthermore, patience allows people to tide over the bottleneck period and finally lead people to success. There are times when people have done everything they can imagine and still do not get the result they want. This means they need to calm down and find out what is wrong. Giving up may let our exertion that we made before in vain. Perhaps the timing is just not right. Just keeping patience, people will get the payback soon.

Patient is a good virtue that people can never forget under any circumstance. If anyone still doubts that whether patience can be used under any circumstance, this essay will be my answer.

3月4日 1100430 do you agree or disagree with the following statement it is important to know about what is happening around the world, even if it doesn’t affect your personal lives.

With the advent of the information era, human beings are gradually submerged into the information ocean that a large amount of information is unceasingly pouring into our minds at an unprecedented speed. The information is ranging from current news to gossip of celebrities. Thus a heated debate arise that whether it is necessary or not to know what happened around even it doesn't affect people's daily life. Some people claim that people are already under considerable workload, there is no time for them to concern the news, Nonetheless, I endorse the opposite that from the current news people can learn a lot, and also no one can predict future. The reasons are as follows.

People can learn from things that happened abroad about method of solving problems or the attitude towards disaster. A magnitude undersea earthquake occurred in Japan at March 2011, the degree and extent of damage caused by the earthquake and resulting tsunami were enormous, the worst affected area shows little more than piles of rubble, with almost no parts of any structures left standing. Although such catastrophe had aroused lots of panic, Japanese were all waiting in line to the sanctuary, no rubbery, no riot, all we could see is an well-organized country. When facing the disaster, Japanese did not lose their civilization, but still maintained the country's image, which offer a great convenience for the rescue work. After knowing that, people may know what should we do when a disaster come, Clam and maintain the order which will help the government's search effort.

It also should be mentioned that no one is perfect predictor thus nobody can ensure the things seem to have no effects now will not impact our daily life in the future. When a computer first invented, no one would like to know it at that time because it is accepted to all that such a huge machine would not be used in our daily life, but now the computer has became a inevitable tools in people's work and study. When a breakthrough had taken place in the biology, the gene realm, most of people thought such a cutting-edge knowledge make no sense to their life, Nonetheless, since the genetically modified food has gained more and more popularity among people, people search the relevant literature to see whether it is good or not. Such the science and technology are developing at such a rapid speed, we cannot ignore the thing which seem to has little associate with us, instead we should pay attention to all the thing that happened around us.

Admittedly, people nowadays are under huge pressure and workload, they may busily engaged in their work, to some extent do not have time to read the news which they consider has less relative to them. Nonetheless, it will be late when they see the necessity of concerning what happened around. a chairman of company may do not care about the world economy situation until his company are at risk of bankrupt because the economy crisis.

Take into consider what have discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that it is of great importance to know what happened around us, no matter it seems to be uncorrelated to our daily life, for that it is not a bad thing to learn and the unpredictability of future leads us to acknowledge all the occurrences.
