Today, once concerning the purpose of education, some people hold that the education should be separated from the outside world. In weighing up the perspective benefits and the potential risks, I side on the opposite and reckon that the education must have communication with the outside world for its own development.
Admittedly, the education has been affected by the outside world with sorts of practical concerns. As members in the society, we have to take the benefits and risks to the society into account on the ground that we have responsibility to the society. The development of the clone can be a good support in this point. Clone, as high-tech biotechnology, is accepted as a hopeful way to conquer the diseases that are fateful to our life. However, in response to the concern that the clone can be used as a way to create human beings, clone has been held back greatly. Some countries, such as US, point out that it is forbidden to study on the cloning. In this sense, we can find out that the concerns of the public can constrain our important ideas.
However, it is not feasible to claim that the education can be separated from the outside world. Humans have motions and languages as the distinct and indispensable characters, which require us to communicate with each other to strengthen the affection. As is often the case, no one can live without others' help, or you will be an individual in a lonely island in the ocean. Without teachers' help, the students cannot improve themselves. Without the farmers' help, the citizens cannot live on themselves. Without the soldiers' help, the people cannot enjoy the life. The education involves all kinds of people, so how can the education separate itself from the outside world?
What's more, even if the education can be independent from the outside world, it will bring great risks to the education rather than benefits. One of the important purposes of the education is to build a better society, which is acknowledged by all nations. The education must make itself available to the society and know what the society needs, which is a great motive force for the university to develop. If the education does not know what are demanding in the society and just study on what the students focus, it will be ignored by the society. At that time, it will be a disaster to the development of education.
To sum up, in order to build an effective education, our education must have enough communication with the society to guarantee the healthy development of our education
